About Michelle

Instilling and nurturing a love of music and developing musicianship are why I’m a voice teacher. I earned my Master of Music Education degree in 2012 from Boston University, which has furthered my love of teaching and given me even more resources to draw from. With all my students, I emphasize

I worked with Michelle for a little over 2 years. As an adult student, I was super nervous about singing in front of anyone - it took me this long to just sign up for lessons! She was patient with me and gave me lots of tools for dealing with my nerves and stage fright. Michelle helped me to choose songs that I not only wanted to sing but that matched my voice and range. I was hesitant about performing in a recital but Michelle pointed out that it was like training for a marathon - doing all the work but not performing just seemed silly. It wasn't perfect but it was definitely something I'm proud to have crossed off my bucket list.

With over a decade of experience teaching both privately and in classrooms, Laura loves to help singers and actors excel at auditions, competitions, and performances by guiding the performer to connect with the storyteller inside. About Laura

Hello! I am a NYC-based singer, pianist, actress, and animal-lover. Born and raised in Los Angeles, my artistic career began as a classical pianist, performing in venues across California, Japan, and Austria from a very young age. As a singer, I performed around the world with the Broadway tour of

Amazing! Talented vocalist and pianist that communicates very well. Has great advice and wonderful personality. Great with kids.

I met Laura at Harvard University when we were both doing our MFA degrees in acting. Since our program was not a Musical Theater one and I was not a singer, I started to take private lessons with her to compliment some of the training in singing we were getting there.

Laura is a fantastic singer and actor. She has an incredible ear as well as great knowledge and experience of what makes a singing performance pop. All this makes her an outstanding coach.

Even now after graduation, I am still training with her. Our focus now is on continuing the development of my singing voice. My goal is to reach a level where I have the skill and confidence to audition professionally for musicals, and I know I am in great hands.

Classical vocal technique is demanding but SOOOO rewarding! The power and clarity that you can develop will astound you! I trained in the Italian (Bel Canto (literally, beautiful singing)) style of voice, and it will give you a great basis in breathing, support, knowledge of your voice and its strengths (and the weaknesses we strive to overcome). We will work on developing beautiful, clear, pure vowel sounds throughout your vocal range, and will work on repertoire from art songs to opera.
*Classical voice students must be 15 to begin serious voice training, and will start at an hour lesson/week. Advanced students will need to hire an accompanist.
*Students under 15 are encouraged to take basic singing lessons, which I also offer, before enrolling in the classical specialty.

About Julia

I'm a passionate professional vocalist and a fourth generation music educator. With 20+ years of professional performing, coaching and teaching experience under my belt, my vocal teaching method unites my classical and musical theatre educational background with the techniques I have developed for

I love what I do! Teaching philosophy: everyone is born with a voice and has the ability to learn to sing regardless of age. Students at all levels including adult beginners welcome. Vocal range, control & tone quality will improve learning correct technique and safeguarding the instrument through correct care/use. I work with Regional/All State, college and professional auditions. I work with commercial musicians in many styles to improve their vocals.

Roberta is everything you would want in a teacher. She is exceptionally talented herself and knows how to share her knowledge with others. She is especially very kind and nurturing in an environment which could be quite intimidating for a beginner like me. You can tell she truly enjoys teaching and gets excited to see her pupil learn. I have learned so much in a short time.

I have a passion for teaching people to sing to the best of their ability with the instrument they have been given! I want to teach others to sing like THEM, not like someone else or in a certain style, but to unlock their potential! There aren't shortcuts, but we can be relaxed, comfortable, and laugh on the journey to improvement! This is first and foremost a safe space to make mistakes and learn the correct way to use our bodies to sing. I have a bachelor's degree in music and performance from the University of North Georgia and have been teaching lessons for over eight years with students of all ages and backgrounds. I am excited to share what I have learned to help YOU sing to the best of your ability!

About Melissa

I am a professional musician who has held multiple positions as director of music at churches and has taught individual voice lessons with students with ages ranging from 5-92. Melissa has a lovely, well trained voice! She doesn’t sing with strain- she correctly supports her voice! She worked with me for 5 years in our choir. The choir always enjoyed her vocal and anthem preparation! So- not only does she have the talent and training- she understands how to work with singers for the best results. As a retired high school and college choral director, I have the highest respect for Melissa. I miss her!

What I loved was that her teaching goals extended beyond how I sounded in the lesson itself, but also focused on trying to give me the tools for being able to properly and productively practice on my own. I also love her emphasis not just on proper technique and musicality, but also on expression."
