I hope to help students of all levels with technique, interpretation, and musicality. After a 30-year long career singing opera internationally, I hope to share my knowledge and experiences with students with a similar passion. I have worked with and learned from world-renowned musicians including Plácido Domingo, Luciano Pavarotti, Richard Boning, Edita Gruberova, and many more.

I’m a professional singer with a Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in vocal performance. I have extensive experience with both musical theatre and Opera but will teach any genre. I was a vocal TA to over 30 students at the University of Illinois and have developed an understanding of how to develop a student’s personal style. I also taught privately in Jacksonville where I received a minor in education. My course credits include italian, German, and French diction, pedagogy, vocal literature, musical theatre history, and opera history and I’ve worked with singers such as Nathan Gunn, Michelle DeYoung, Susan Graham, and Jerold Siena in order to develop my unique perspective and Style as a singer and educator.

Growing as a musician and producer has been a remarkably fulfilling path and my passion for sharing that adventure is what drives my excitement for teaching. I hope to bring positive energy and insight to all my students’ lessons and help them grow. I am interested in working with students of all ages, and enjoy helping with everything — learning how to sing or improve vocal technique, learning how to play piano, cover favorite artists, perform, record, navigate ProTools of Logic or digital/analog synths. I am a classically trained singer with over 10 years of professional experience. My specialty is early music but have performed extensively in opera, jazz, music theatre, and folk. My focus is a holistic and healthy technique to give confidence and power to any vocal style.

I have over 10 years of vocal training, in classical, musical theater, pop and jazz. I graduated Belmont University in 2015 with a degree in Commercial Voice. Not only can I teach you all about the voice & anatomy, I can give you a great foundation for music theory and songwriting. I want to teach you to have the most natural, best sound your voice can produce without getting worn out. Additionally, I want to teach you how to properly run your own sound at a gig and know the foundations of running your own rehearsals/band.

I have a passion for teaching music and sharing the joy of singing with my students! I plan my lessons around the individual achieving their personal goals by increasing the difficulty with each lesson and choosing songs that the student is passionate about. I always focus on building a strong foundation for vocalists to achieve healthful & free singing through various conditioning exercises that emphasize improving their breath control, tone, and resonance. In addition to teaching healthy vocal technique, vocal anatomy and music theory to my students, I also incorporate stage presence and musical expression into their lessons to strengthen their skills as a performer.
