The most important aspect of vocal training that I will emphasize is breath control and support. Connecting to the body when singing will ensure vocal protection and prevent any unwanted vocal strain. Once we have worked on technique through various scales and breathing exercises, I will teach them how to apply these elements of singing to their repertoire. When we work on repertoire, I try to alternate between technical practice and artistic expression. I want to make sure the student is having fun, communicating their art, and discovering their own unique artistic identity, which I believe to be the most important aspect of being a singer! I will provide my students with new challenges each week and help them to gain new tools to practice healthily and efficiently.

I am a recent graduate of Azusa Pacific University and earned my Bachelor's in Music: Vocal Performance. With a fresh mind & pursuing my Master's degree, I can teach with confidence. It will always be at your own pace and at your own time. I'm always listening to those I teach in the most positive of lights, but still maintaining a discerning eye over the music you will create. Hiring me as a teacher, I will be working to the best of my ability to display and exemplify what I believe it means to be a good musician. I have studied classical voice from the age of 13 with instructors from The Metropolitan Opera. I have sung classical arias in Italian, German, French and Latin.

In our lesson, we will focus on the three pillars of singing: Alignment, breathing, and relaxation. We will work on classical vocal technique through simple exercises. I have exercises for people of all vocal ranges and types. I will adapt my lessons to your specific needs.

We will select the perfect music for you to work on, and I will accompany you on piano. If the music is in a foreign language, I can work on pronunciation with you. If needed, I will record piano tracks for you to practice in between lessons.
