I've taken guitar lessons on and off for a while, and Cameron is hands-down the best teacher I've had. He points out specific technical good points and bad points, and offers concrete suggestions and examples for improvement. The lesson material is progressively challenging, but not overwhelming, and is targeted to the student's interests, and lessons are fun and interesting. Fantastic instructor.

Cameron is an excellent teacher for me. I am 11 years old and have been playing for almost a year with him. He is patient and makes me stretch to be a better guitarist. He takes time to find songs at my level of learning and accommodates my tastes in music. I would recommend him for anyone who is interested in playing guitar.

I enjoyed my first lesson with Cameron. He explained things clearly so I could understand. Can't wait for my next lesson.

Each lesson will be tailored towards the students interest and skill level. Normally the first lesson will consist of a sort of consultation to identify these areas and then together we lay out a curriculum with goals in place that the student or parents are happy with.

Concentrations can range from dissecting music theory and applying it to your instrument or simply learning various pieces of music.

About Sergio

Music has been my greatest passion in life for as long as I can remember and I revel the opportunity to share my passion with students and help them develop their own skills. I am available to teach beginner and intermediate students (ages 6+) for either half hour or hour long sessions. These

I have had several guitar teachers throughout my life, and it is with the utmost confidence that I can say Sergio is by far the best teacher I have ever had. His kindness and patience make the sometimes scary and intimidating process of learning an instrument completely approachable and fun. Sergio is like a walking musical encyclopedia, his passion for what he does is evident in the amount of knowledge he holds on the subject, and how accessible he makes it to his students. I also wanted to learn music theory, and he has created such a comfortable learning environment to tackle a subject that is completely new to me. I never feel nervous or self conscious about my comprehension, and am always able to be honest and ask for help when needed. Sergio goes above and beyond to ensure that I have understood each lesson, and to clarify anything that I may be stuck on. He is so patient with my pace, and at the same time I have improved faster than ever. I feel so lucky to have had the opportunity to learn with him, and I cannot recommend him enough!

I didn’t know anything about music, other than I like listening to it. The instructor is very attentive to what I needed to accomplish. We decided I needed a different task to master first, and the whole lesson got easier. Looking forward to the next lesson!

Before learning Classical and Jazz guitar in school, I was a full on Rocker!!! I played SRV/Hendrix style blues rock to what is now old school metal...Metallica, Iron Maiden, Megadeth, etc.
I loved early Prog Rock, pre-era of a million extra strings and down tuned everything. I still love to shred, so if you're still reading this, we may be a fit. Thanks!!!!

I am a recent Berklee College of Music graduate living in Chicago. At Berklee, I was the first rock/metal guitarist to receive the "Jimi Hendrix Award." This award is given to the best guitarist at the school. I've played and studied many styles of music ranging from classical, traditional, blues, country, rock, and metal.
Besides teaching, I have a passion for songwriting and performance. Here in Chicago, I am currently playing with various bands and writing my own music. My teaching style is very "goal-oriented," and I will teach students to set short-term goals, medium goals, and then demonstrate to them how reaching the short and medium-term goals leads to accomplishing long-term goals. I envision teaching much like my teachings at Berklee where once my lesson was finished, I only wanted to go home and learn more. If you want to learn multiple styles from someone who is truly passionate about the instrument, I'm your guy!

Mr. Sylvester is one of the greatest. He is not just an amazing guitarist, but he is also very kind. He treats people with so much respect. He speaks to me and my mom so nicely. He is very patient. He has a deep knowledge of music and knows how to get the most out of even the least talented people (like me!). He doesn't ever get mad if you make a mistake or forget to bring your music notes. We were so lucky to find Mr. Sylvester.

Mark is a talented musician who plays and teaches multiple stringed instruments. His lessons are always informative and supportive. They are driven by the student’s interest, so anything you want o learn— styles of music, how to do a particular technique, music theory— you can bring to class. And every now and then he organizes a recital— terrifying but great practice!

"Nils has been working with our son for a little over the past month, and we are very happy in finding such a talented teacher. Our son has some music background, having taken some guitar instruction in the past, so Nils was pretty quick to pick up on where he is musically and right off the bat work how to adjust to his needs. His lessons are a good mix of theory and application, and we can see how they (the lessons) are progressing in terms of complexity and reach. While we, the parents, are very happy to let them work out the lessons themselves, Nils has taken great care in keeping us in the loop, and we certainly appreciate that as parents. Certainly looking forward to how these guys progress!"

"Just had my 4th lesson with Halec and they have all been awesome! My main goal in learning guitar is to create my own supporting instrumentation to my hip hop beats. Halec was completely understanding of my intentions with learning guitar and we have been working on ways that I can incorporate my own playing into my songs. My soloing has already improved dramatically!

10/10 would recommend!"
