As a Berklee College of Music alumnus, Sergei applies its curriculum, approaches, and techniques that proved their effectiveness regardless of an age and level of students. Also, Sergei has an extensive educational experience including teaching the Guitar Performance Techniques, and Style classes for British Irish Modern Music Institute in Berlin, Germany, and being enrolled in a post graduate certificate program in Learning and Teaching provided by University of Sussex, UK.

I am a recent Berklee College of Music graduate living in Chicago. At Berklee, I was the first rock/metal guitarist to receive the "Jimi Hendrix Award." This award is given to the best guitarist at the school. I've played and studied many styles of music ranging from classical, traditional, blues, country, rock, and metal.
Besides teaching, I have a passion for songwriting and performance. Here in Chicago, I am currently playing with various bands and writing my own music. My teaching style is very "goal-oriented," and I will teach students to set short-term goals, medium goals, and then demonstrate to them how reaching the short and medium-term goals leads to accomplishing long-term goals. I envision teaching much like my teachings at Berklee where once my lesson was finished, I only wanted to go home and learn more. If you want to learn multiple styles from someone who is truly passionate about the instrument, I'm your guy!

With over 10 years of experience, I can teach you basic chord progressions, to advanced jazz progressions, improvisation, soloing, and many different techniques ranging from hammer ons and pull offs, to tapping and sweep picking. In addition, I can teach you how to utilize your guitar, amp, and any pedals you own to achieve the tone you are searching for.
