ound recording and reproduction is an electrical or mechanical inscription and re-creation of sound waves, such as spoken voice, singing, instrumental music, or sound effects. The two main classes of sound recording technology are analog recording and digital recording. Acoustic analog recording is achieved by a small microphone diaphragm that can detect changes in atmospheric pressure (acoustic sound waves) and record them as a graphic representation of the sound waves on a medium such as a phonograph (in which a stylus senses grooves on a record). In magnetic tape recording, the sound waves vibrate the microphone diaphragm and are converted into a varying electric current, which is then converted to a varying magnetic field by an electromagnet, which makes a representation of the sound as magnetized areas on a plastic tape with a magnetic coating on it. Analog sound reproduction is the reverse process, with a bigger loudspeaker diaphragm causing changes to atmospheric pressure to ...

I am so glad you’re here!

The music lessons for young children are full of fun, interactive activities with iPads apps and traditional methods that not only help develop a strong musical foundation and build essential life skills, but offer a unique bonding experience for you and your child.

Discover for yourself why families love my innovative music lessons for kids.

YES! Music Matters!

The curriculum is built on research that proves MUSIC MATTERS. Music affects virtually every aspect of development and when young children are consistently engaged by music during the “musical win
dow” they benefit at many levels.

What about private lessons?

Do I believe in private lessons? You bet! But I know from experience that private lessons are most valuable for older kids who have the ability to concentrate in a one-to-one setting.

With this Private setting you will have a solid foundation in keyboard skills and music theory and typically excel quickly in their continued music education and when learning other instruments. The education and experiences a child has in my music program sets them up for success with private instruction.

Music Program

Builds spatial-temporal reasoning skills critical for greater success in math and science studies.

Music students out-perform non-music students on achievement tests in reading and math.

Music students receive more academic honors and awards than non-music students.

Develops social and emotional skills including the ability to relate to others and better express ideas, and less likely to have behavior/discipline problems.

I offer up to 2 recitals a year so that you can perform everything you know.

Feel free to reach out and let's setup some lessons.

Thank you, George F.

George, was very patient, kind, and seem very knowledgeable. He seems to understand the pedagogy of teaching to kids and realize they all learn differently. I personally think he went above and beyond for my Son first class and for our first introduction. He offered a more modern approach method of teaching music and Piano to my son who so far seem more receptive in learning and practicing. Will se where that take us but I am very please so far.

Here is some information on what you can expect if you decide to take lessons with me:

You will start learning songs and play along with them within 3-5 lessons. After 3 months you will have knowledge of the basics. At the 6 month mark you will start to get comfortable with your instrument and after a year you will have built a solid foundation on which you can expand into any musical direction of your choice.

I teach beginner to advanced depending on the instrument, and ages 9 and up are welcome! My customized lessons are based on the student's abilities. Lessons can be held at your home in the vicinity of Mission Viejo. Learn songs and music theory, melodies, harmonizing, rhythm, syncopation, solfege, songwriting, arrangement, reading and writing music notation. I can also help you with singing and recording your songs. If you wish, I can also teach your lessons in German or French.

Music styles: Rock, Pop, Folk, Latin, Jazz, Swing, Reggae, Funk, and much more.

Teaching style: I like to use humor to make the learning experience enjoyable. I adjust to the student's learning speed. My philosophy when it comes to teaching and music: Everyone can learn an instrument and enjoy that knowledge for the rest of their life!

Guitar (for example): Always work with books. Teach simple chords, rhythms and songs at first. Then move to more difficult chords and songs, and TAB reading. Then I keep increasing the level of difficulty as the student progresses. Then start teaching sight reading with standard music notation. When practicing songs, we play along to music. Similar teaching style for other instruments.

I specialize in intermediate and advanced students. I can help you with Logic music software and recording your next big CD!

About Blake
Biography:

You need to be taught with the right combination of head and heart. Technique is great, but without feel it's nothing. Virtuosity is great, but without groove it's nothing. Music theory is great, but without soul it's nothing…

National Recording Artist & Guitarist for MadTV - BLAKE A., w 5 Billboard Top 10 hits & played w Santana, Gap Band, Phillip Bailey, Sheila E. can give you the tools to follow YOUR DREAM! Online from anywhere or in So Cal.

Those who CAN do CAN also teach...

Named "a genius on the guitar" by the Los Angeles Times, Blake has recorded and/ or perform
ed with such artists as Philip Bailey (Earth Wind and Fire), Sheila E., Frank Stallone, Bobby Womack and Carlos Santana (Womack-Save the Children), The Gap Band, David Pack (Ambrosia), Jimmy Pankow (Chicago), Lakeside, Dynasty, The Drifters, The Coasters, Tommy Walker, Little Anthony and the Imperials, Joe Houston, Mary Wells, Billy Bass and Bernie Worell (The Funkadellics), Fish (Fishbone), producer Bill Laswell, producer Michael Lloyd, Keiko Matsui, Hiroshima, David Benoit, Najee, Eric Marienthal, Ricky Lawson, Nelson Rangell, Marion Meadows, Steve Reid's Bamboo Forest, Kuh LaDesma, and Gloria Trevi.

**SO....why does any of the above mean anything at all? Because I can cut through the "fluff" and teach you in a very straightforward and easy to understand method what it really takes to get out there and follow your dream!

You need to be taught with the right combination of head and heart. Technique is great, but without feel it's nothing. Virtuosity is great, but without groove it's nothing. Music theory is great, but without soul it's nothing.

No successful artist has ever made it on technique, virtuosity, and theory alone. They ALL, without exception, also have the feel, groove, and soul.

You can learn it, you just have to be exposed to it...a lot, and it's never too late.

I took guitar lessons from Blake for a couple of years as well as having the privilege of playing with him at my local church. First, Blake is a preeminent guitarist. I mean, he is a world class jazz guitarist and composer. Taking lessons from him was a great experience. He is patient and took time to make sure that I understood what he was teaching. The lessons were a nice mix of theory and actual playing. Lastly, I enjoyed how he let me choose what songs we would use for skills practice. If you want to learn Black Dog, he will use that to teach finger dexterity, time signatures, and dynamics! He's simply the best.

I took lessons from Blake several years ago, and was a very demanding student. I already knew how to read music and was schooled in playing other instruments. I was an intermediate guitar player that wanted to be able to sight read/play guitar music, and learn enough licks and blues/rock structure/theory to allow me to improvise guitar solos.
Blake took the time to understand my guitar playing objectives, and tailored lesson plans/assignments to help me achieve them. His music knowledge and guitar playing mastery enables him to teach any playing style or music genre. He can teach songs, chords, leads/licks, tab, reading music, music theory, etc. He truly enjoys the process of helping students succeed, and expanding their love of music. He also makes learning fun! Thanks Blake!

My lesson experience with Blake Aaron has spanned many years and has included more than just guitar! Aside from being a chart-topping Jazz virtuoso on the guitar he is incredible with teaching and demonstrating many many styles of music.

I love music theory as it applies to many instruments and Blake is truly a master. I've worked with him on total arrangements of songs (including entire horn sections !! ) and he is FANTASTIC!

Blake is a Guitarist and a TOTAL Musician...you'll be AMAZED that one person can know all that he does !!!

I was fortunate enough to record with a producer from Dark Horse studios in Nashville, TN who taught me everything he was doing in the recording process. Since then, I have put quite a bit of independent study and practice into recording on my own.

About Joe
I absolutely love teaching music! After over 20 years of teaching, performing, writing, and recording in all styles/genres, it continues to be a great adventure. It is a joy to pass this on to others...especially seeing my students that never touched the instrument going on to be very proficient players.

I take teaching seriously, but definitely try to make it enjoyable for the student. I studied classical guitar in college, but was playing everything from Van Halen to Jazz to Country & Blues before that. Currently, I'd consider myself a flat out musical mutt...enjoying anything and eve
rything. The love of guitar has also expanded to a multitude of instruments that I record, gig, & teach with.

In my courses, it's all about customizing a curriculum based on what you'd like to learn. My knowledge ranges from single vocal track recording methods to full-band recording techniques. Along with recording, we can focus your study on MIDI production, using virtual instruments, mixing and mastering, and even learn how to distribute and market your songs! Using the industries top Digital Audio Workstations (DAWs), I want to help you bring your music to life and sounding better than ever!

About Tanner
Like many musicians, Tanner began creating and producing original music as a young teenager. He began learning AVID Pro Tools, the industry-standard recording software while attending numerous Grammy Camps and is now considered an expert with the program. He developed an extensive knowledge of audio engineering principles and techniques through his formal education at the Los Angeles Recording School, other specialized training, and his own experimentation and professional experience.

Technical knowledge is just a small part of a sound engineer’s job. Tanner has a thorough understanding of
how to capture all types of musical styles, genres, instruments, and vocals. But most importantly, Tanner loves the ebb and flow of collaboration with artists and producers to help them realize their creative goals.

Whether you’re a singer/songwriter who wants to record a song or an album, or you’re in a band in need of a mixing or mastering engineer, Tanner’s the man for the job!

I started Djing about two years ago and have loved it ever since. About one year ago or less I decided I wanted to take up music production as well, but I realized I didn't know much about mixing and mastering. Recently, I decided to try out an hour session over facetime with Tanner to learn more about what it takes to perfectly mix and master and track, and just from the first lesson I have already learned so much more about what makes a track sound amazing. He even sent me a follow up email after our session with notes on our session as well as a few other helpful links he suggested i take a look at. All in all, great hour, affordable, definitely making our appoints a regular thing.
