Expect to learn the vocabulary for parts of the guitar as well as the amplifier. This class is cool because we get to talk a bit about frequency’s, the range of guitars, and how it pertains to the knobs on the guitar and amp. Oh yeah, and shred distorted licks! The class will require an amp, and I can provide one if needed.

I am a versatile and experienced performer, and I have had opportunities to perform in a variety of contexts. As a soloist, I have given solo recitals and performed as a featured soloist with the MSM Symphony and the Yale Philharmonia. My diverse collaborative experiences have allowed me to develop a vast knowledge of chamber music repertoire ranging from early music to contemporary works. As a result, I know that I would be able to thoughtfully select repertoire for my students and program innovative, exciting student recitals.
I consider myself to be a versatile guitarist and perform equally on classical and electric guitar. I love playing and teaching all kinds of different styles including classical, jazz, rock, pop, fingerstyle, blues, folk, bossanova and flamenco.
