Bassoon is based on a simple set of rules and techniques that must be learned and applied. I'm a professional teacher with a unique ability to perceive what students understand and how they understand, which I use to efficiently build students' knowledge, saving them both time and money.

Experienced Bassoon teacher of 7 years, I've worked extensively with beginner, intermediate, and advanced students of all ages. Whether you're a beginning band student, enthusiastic amateur, or have hopes of pursuing bassoon professionally, I can offer fun, challenging, and productive private instruction. I can help beginning students on bassoon learn the basics.

I am an active performer and teacher of bassoon, and am still an active learner on my instrument. Lessons with me are fun, engaging, and informative on this unique and often difficult instrument. I strive for my students to love the bassoon and enjoy working on their craft, whether a beginning band student or an aspiring professional. I earned my Masters of Music in Bassoon Performance at University of North Carolina, Greensboro and my Bachelors of Music in Bassoon Performance from Sacramento State University. I also can help with reed making and adjusting, I make all of my own reeds and sell them on Etsy. My page is called ReedySetGoBassoon

Lee is an accomplished bassoonist who specializes in working with new and developing bassoon players. Lee can direct students to the best bassoon reeds and accessories, as well as offer the best advice on starting and improving skills on bassoon. 

Lee uses the New Weissenborn Method books and offers a digitized library of elementary solo pieces, standard bassoon literature and orchestral excerpts.

Lee received a Master of Music degree in Bassoon Pedagogy (Belmont University) and graduated from Loyola University New Orleans (Bachelor of Music Education), where she performed as principal bassoonist for both orchestras.

Lee also graduated from the U.S. Armed Forces School of Music and served as a Bassoon Player in the U.S. Army with the 1st Cavalry Division Band. She currently performs with several orchestras and bands in the Los Angeles area.
