I've taken lessons with Emi as a beginner and later as a more experienced guitarist. Always a great lesson. He's a fantastic teacher for people of any experience level. He goes out of his way to tailor his lessons to whatever you specifically want to learn.

I've been trying to teach myself to play the guitar for months now, and I learned more with Emiliano in 2 lessons than I did in those months. If you really want to learn to play, get a lesson with Emiliano. It is worth it. He makes things easy to understand, and was super patient with me who has zero musical talent. I really cannot recommend him enough.
Matthew
Emiliano is a fantastic teacher. I knew little to nothing about guitar before working with him and he was able to easily walk me through everything. Thanks Emiliano!

The main goal of my lessons is for my students to genuinely enjoy the guitar and to walk away excited to put their knowledge into action. As someone who has been studying the guitar for 15+ years, I know the challenges of practicing and moving beyond the technical knowledge of the instrument. I help my students learn using their personal musical interests and inspirations. All ages and abilities welcome.

I had a great time learning how to play guitar and am on my way to playing my favorite songs! Would highly recommend!!
Joseph
I learned everything I know about guitar from Peter, because of him I have an excellent understanding of not only how to play guitar, but how to structure and write music. This has led me to play live music and jam with musicians on a regular basis. He is an amazing guitar instructor, and can teach you whatever you want to learn — I highly recommend him.

Together we will play and begin to understand a multitude of styles and techniques, the role of the guitar pickup and their many styles, uses, and purposes, the amplifier and how it is part of your instrument, and how to utilize effect pedals in your guitar signal chain.

If you're a beginner, we're going to focus most specifically on your guitar playing abilities, including your rhythm, ear training, we'll learn chords, basic fretboard theory and how to fully utilize your entire guitar neck.

If you're a more advanced player, we'll focus on more advanced rhythms and ear training, picking techniques, fingerpicking, more advanced harmony and chord voicings, reading music, extended chords, and getting into effect pedals, and which ones to utilize for yourself.

I have found the best approach to doing this is by selecting music that you like to listen to and play, as it is much more fun to practice something that you enjoy rather than doing busywork to build skill.

About Tyler

Hi, I'm Tyler! Born and raised in Roswell, New Mexico, I am the son of a band director. That being said, I have literally been involved in music since I was an infant! I played trombone, bass trombone, and bass guitar all the way through high school, and went to New Mexico State University where I

Tyler arrived early, spent lots of time with my unruly daughter, and kept her on track! He's a good combination of fun/playful but also has a natural authority so that my daughter actually listens to his instruction. Well done and thank you Tyler!

Great first lesson - looking forward to the next one.

I feel like I learned a lot in an hour and he really helped me find an anchor point that I can go back to if I am stuck on a note. I realized that he went over every proven method that I learned throughout my experiences from elementary school to highschool and then added on to them by explaining how these methods help. He even showed me methods usually taught to college musicians.

The reason I always believed in private lessons is because no matter how few or how many you take, the learning process gets expedited immensely.

I definitely would recommend this teacher for learning a brass instrument.

Taking lessons with Kismat was both fun and educational, as it should be. I was introduced to a variety of different music theory concepts at a pace which suited me. It was never too difficult nor too easy. Of course your progress will be dictated by how much you practice, but Kismat's lessons will give you a clear path to follow. Over all I had a lot of fun learning from him, he's a great teacher and fun guy to jam with.
Kathy
Our son Joe has taken lessons with Kismat for about the last year. They have been the most productive lessons of our sons guitar playing! Kismat found a way to teach our son in a way that appealed to him and applied to his way of learning. I could not be happier with the experience! Thank you so much!
Ingrid
I was Kismat's employer at Guitar Center in Roseville, Minnesota. He was fun to work with and great with students of all ages and skill levels. His energy and positivity always brightened the day and inspired the customers.

"Amazing guitar learning experience with Stephen!!!
Stephen is a very knowledgeable and professional music instructor. I have been taking lesson at his studio for about 8 months. I go there once a week for my 45 min class and practice 15 min every other days at home. Now I can play the musics I like. Also, during the lesson, he always put the me in the live band situation so I can react to the beats and rhythm from different instruments. Fun!!!!!!!!!"

"Going back over a decade, I bought my first real guitar from Greg, an 80s Avila Rhoads. Over the years that followed, Greg taught me quite a bit in the ways of repair/maintainence as well as theory/sound scultping. The man is truly an inspiration. From the day his old shop opened, to now, Greg has always been a great teacher."

"My son was given a guitar by a family member and showed variable interest until Greg started to teach him - Greg has woven elements of what my son needs to learn to improve with how these elements are used by some of the biggest and best guitarists ever and really changed practice from being a chore to something that can be fun. This is the way Greg said he would teach and he’s sticking very much to it! A great instructor that my son really enjoys going to - thanks Greg!!"

"Ahmad brought my playing to a new level in a very short period of time. I had been stuck and not making much progress with my improvisational skills for the better part of a year when I first started lessons with him. I was impressed by his ability to quickly analyze my playing and knowledge and suggest some focus areas. After working on various intervals, I began to feel a magnetic pull in my fingers when playing. The intervals enabled me to make the connection between the licks and lines in my head and the physical fret board on the fly during improvisational sessions.

Ahmad is extremely organized. He has exercises for every topic imaginable. His exercises are clearly written with specifics on how to effectively practice them, and they progress in an incremental and logical fashion. This level of organization allows you to get the most out of your time with Ahmad. He can quickly retrieve exercises for a topic, without having to stop and think, or waste time on transcription.

I leave every lesson with more than enough material to keep me busy. Ahmad has been very flexible working with me and changes that arise in my schedule. On top of all of this, Ahmad is a genuinely pleasant person to spend time with and I really look forward to our time together. For me, I was an intermediate player looking to get to the next step. But I'm confident that Ahmad could accelerate anyone's playing at any level."
