Dj zen is an excellent teacher for someone like me.. He was patient and understanding when it came to the speed at which I pick up things. In addition to working with jazz ensembles and symphonies, he performs regularly with local pop/rock bands, and works as a freelance wedding DJ under the moniker “Seth Vitál” (performing for 30-40 weddings per year). Garrett has a B.A. in Music from the University of California, San Diego, where he studied under two-time Grammy award-winning producer/arranger Kamau Kenyatta, and was awarded the university's 2017 Jazz Society Award. "At the start of the quarantine I was having difficulty getting the feel for anything and everything DJing. It was brutal!, intimidating, terrifying, and sort of infuriating. Robert and Michael took the time to really break down the flow of what you need to do, how many beats do you count out, where the bass knob should be.
