Super Helpful!

I am always hesitant to take lessons from anyone. I have had bad experiences in the past where I leave a session feeling defeated because the teacher was impatient. I must say, after leaving my first lesson with Felice, I felt excited about the next!

Best guitar teacher I have ever had

Jen is a fabulous guitar player that has an innate ability to teach with understanding and patience. If I am not understanding a certain exercise, she is able to break it down for me in multiple ways so I can better understand how to perform.
I tend to get nervous to share new songs I have written but Jen's down-to-earth personality has definitely helped me begin to break out of shell.
I highly recommend Jen as your next music teacher.

Awesome passionate personality with ton of knowledge

It has been a total joy being instructed by Jen. Jen's passion in playing the guitar is extremely radiant, so you know you're in good hands with a passionate instructor. Myself not being the fastest of learners, totally felt comfortable by Jen's style of teaching. She provided a very relaxed and confident atmosphere :)I came in with an idea of what I wanted from the guitar, and Jen provided structure and guidance from the ground-up. You will totally feel your money being used on a superb, passionate, and knowledgable instructor! :)

We are lucky to have found her!!!

Around a year ago, my daughter decided she wanted to learn to play the guitar! Thanks to Google, we ran into TakeLessons.
Nicole was recommended to us. After reading about her we were quite impressed!
Right after the first lesson and to my surprise, my (very shy) daughter had a great 1st experience with Nicole.
Nicole is a professional in her field AND also in handling kids and knowing how to help them overcome their shyness. She brings out the best in my daughter and also encourages her to sing even write her own notes!
I would highly recommend Nicole. She is truly talented and the greatest teacher!!!

Highly recommended: Amazing teacher!

Mike is a patient, supportive and incredibly talented teacher. From music theory to practical application, he's got all the answers... And he makes learning fun!

I took guitar lessons more than ten years ago and found it frustrating and I was terribly uninspired. Recently I took my old guitar out of mothballs and was determined to make some progress on the dang thing. A good friend recommended Mike and I've been taking lessons for nine months with him.

What's great about Mike is that he customizes my lessons. I'm not learning out of a book (which, I could if wanted) but I'm learning the songs that I love and learning the theory behind the chords, too. Then he keeps building on what we just learned. I go home from my hour lessons and play for another two hours because I'm so inspired.

I can't recommend Mike highly enough. He's a gem of a music instructor in the concrete jungle of Los Angeles.

I studied writing and received my B.A. at the University of Florida and received a Certificate with a concentration in Songwriting and Performance at Berklee School of Music in Boston. As a teacher, I completely understand the learning curve and have tricks to help you out in those difficult times. Lessons with me are constructed from scratch and tailored to exactly what you want to learn. My brother told me he found this great guitar teacher, and I was skeptical because he has been playing guitar for a long time and has never really sounded good. Two weeks after he mentioned him, all of the sudden he didn't suck any more. He was actually kinda good. So I tried a lesson with him and Wow! Within my first lesson I was already able to play a song! I can't afford lessons since I'm in school right now, but my brother still takes lessons with him. Even though I no longer take lessons with him I still call Rob and ask him questions about guitar all of the time, and he always makes time for me. I don't know where my brother or I would be without him. Great Teacher. Great Friend.

Music theory is very important to know and understand if you want to become a better musician. Learn the basics of key signatures, quality of chords (major versus minor, etc. which will help express emotion and create tension in a song), rhythm, grooves, etc.

Amazing!

Have you ever heard the expression, "those who can't, teach!"? Well you can disregard that in this case. As a newbie to vocal lessons; but as a veteran within the creative arts and business world, I can effortlessly say Keira knows what she's doing. With the educational aspects implemented, she helps you understand how everything works. Therefore allowing you to efficiently utilize your voice in a very fun and engaging manner.

I immediately walked away with a new sensation that I have never felt before, which was the amazing rush of singing in front of a complete stranger; and not in a karaoke type of way either. Even throughout the cracks and awkward pitches, I walked away having gained a new confidence and appreciation for singing. That's what it's all about!

So if you're seeking a coach - stop! - because she's not only a coach, but she is super talented to say the least and you'll have no choice but to become better when you soak up her knowledge. Not to mention, she's just a super cool person, so learn from her before she's too famous to have time!
