I have been teaching PiYo (pilates/yoga) at 24 hour Fitness for over 2 years. A fun integrative approach of cardio, strength training, balance, core work, and flexibility!
I recently finished my 200 hour certification as a yogi and looking to be creative in my approach. I take a yin (gentle/effortless) approach during the integrative (beginning) and surrender (end) series while incorporating the yang (asanas/effort) during the bulk of my practice creating a balanced flow. I also enjoy incorporating music and meditation as part of my practice given my background as a music therapist.

About Natalie

I am a Music Therapist with background in Psychology, Masters in Social Work and Yoga certification. I have been teaching voice, guitar and piano lessons for over 10 years. I have directed children's Musical theater camps, and taught piano and voice in music studios and privately for over a decade. Performance wise I have been on TV, musicals, lead singer in a band as well as performed on a cruise ship. I enjoy all forms of music. My personal favorites are Jazz, especially Brazilian Jazz, Musical Theater, Alternative Independent Rock and the Classics of course ;) *** Lesson Details *** I take a student-centered approach which basically means I take a needs assessment of my students and map out goals that are essential for them, their learning and where they want to go. Natalie is a superb teacher! We are thrilled to have found such a compassionate, dedicated, competent teacher. She provides my daughter with excellent lessons of consistency, practice, review of previous lessons and introduction to new material. My daughter is so excited for her lessons because Natalie is so positive and enriching in her teaching style. Natalie exudes happiness, knowledge in the subject matter, and an overall engaging personality. My daughter has made leaps and bounds since starting lessons several months ago. We highly recommend Natalie as a singing teacher!!!

RYT in Hatha, Sivananda, Kundalini. Sound Yoga Therapy™ (SYT) developed by Teresa S, MMus, RYT is a foundational mindfulness based meditation approach rooted in Western musical theory and vocal pedagogy, North Indian classical music, yoga, Buddhism and other contemplative traditions. Sound Yoga Therapy™ sessions guide participants to allow sound vibrations to become "objects" of attention. Sound is used both actively and passively as created by vocal toning, tuning forks, other vibrating instruments and verbal instruction. Some of the benefits reported by participants of SYT are deep relaxation, increased vitality, enhanced concentration and physical, mental and emotional well-being.

About Teresa

I grew up performing and singing. My family loved music and the arts and we went to the theater, ballet and symphony all the time in Houston Texas. My mother used to play music to get me to sleep when I was very young. She played opera by the famous Italian tenor Caruso and symphonic music by the French Impressionist composer Debussy. As a teenager I played the guitar and sang folk and pop songs with my friends. When I became an adult my interest turned back to classical music and opera as I had heard as a toddler. Eventually I found myself on stage singing opera in New York City and classical chamber music at Tanglewood in the Berkshires. I began teaching voice while I was getting a Bachelor's Degree in Music at the University of Texas. When I came to New York City I opened the Vocal

I am a certified yoga instructor teaching in many locations throughout Westchester. I was trained at Yoga Haven in Scarsdale, New York with Betsy Kase, and earned a 200-hour certificate in Asana, Pranayama, and Meditation. I offer private yoga instruction at my home studio. My studio comes fully equipped with all yoga props, aromatherapy, and music. Hands-on-assists and personalized classes offered to deepen your experience.

My journey into the world of yoga began when I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia, a pervasive autoimmune disease characterized by pain in the body. Since then I have learned to use my practice to heal my physical body, calm my emotional body, and bring balance into my life. Yoga is a way to connect the mind and the body and to become aware of the spirit. Yoga has changed my life and I work to cater each class to meet the needs of the individual present.

About Jillian

I am a certified music therapist (MT-BC); vocal instructor (BS in Classical Voice); certified yoga instructor (200+); certified and attuned Reiki master; professional freelance editor; meditation guide. I am a person who finds joy in a variety of places, and I truly love what I do. Music therapy has afforded me a great deal of experience working with children, teens, and adults with special needs including, autism, Down's syndrome, cerebral palsy, emotional disturbances and developmental delays. As a voice teacher, I want to help my students settle comfortably into their own musicality by showing them the building blocks of a solid technique, drawing particularly from the things that helped me grow as a vocalist. I want my students to feel strong in their body, comfortable and ...

Jillian's really smart and nice

I started taking lessons with Jillian around when i started high school a couple years ago. I play french horn in school, and I'm considering studying music in college, so I definitely needed to know more music theory. I play guitar too, so we started studying songwriting, too, so that I can write some songs with my band. Jillian's so nice, and really smart, so she makes it really easy to learn! I really like classes with her.

One of the best teachers I have ever had

I am a 15 years old and have been taking lessons with Jillian for about a year and a half. I started out as a beginner and she was so patient with me and encouraged me continuously so that I can feel confident in myself. She also made the experience so much fun, while other teachers I've had made it stressful. She is also so knowledgable and talented but never made me feel bad that i wasnt at her level. Jillian is also cares about all her students and their progress. I cant recommend her enough to everyone who wants to learn!!
