I am a certified yoga instructor teaching in many locations throughout Westchester. I was trained at Yoga Haven in Scarsdale, New York with Betsy Kase, and earned a 200-hour certificate in Asana, Pranayama, and Meditation. I offer private yoga instruction at my home studio. My studio comes fully equipped with all yoga props, aromatherapy, and music. Hands-on-assists and personalized classes offered to deepen your experience.

My journey into the world of yoga began when I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia, a pervasive autoimmune disease characterized by pain in the body. Since then I have learned to use my practice to heal my physical body, calm my emotional body, and bring balance into my life. Yoga is a way to connect the mind and the body and to become aware of the spirit. Yoga has changed my life and I work to cater each class to meet the needs of the individual present.

If you have ever taken a yoga class in studio or by watching tv, you know that it’s hard to tell exactly what you need to be doing for the poses. Jillian is very knowledgeable about yoga so that you learn the correct way and the most effective way. She’s very organized and create lesson plans fitting for your needs. I like to challenge myself and learn, and Jillian’s lesson plans have helped me accomplish my goals. Every lesson I have been learning something new, and feel like I’ve had a great workout. She also can help you use yoga for healing the body. I recommend Jillian for anyone who wants to get the best quality instruction for yoga. And she’s super nice.

Our Grandson Caleb had his first Hip Hop lesson with Miss G last week. I highly recommend Miss G. She makes learning fun and interesting. She keeps things lite and low key and is able to keep Caleb focused. Miss G interacts with children exceptionally well. Caleb can't wait for his second lesson!!

I focus on alignment making sure you are moving in and out of postures correctly as well as while you are in the posture. This prevents injury and will allow you to get the most benefit from the practice.

I also teach pranayama (breath work), philosphy (Niyamas, Yamas, etc.), meditation and inward focus.

I work a stressful career handling stock transactions for a financial investment firm, so finding time to attend yoga classes at a studio can be challenging. Rowan is great at putting me at ease with a gentle practice that allows/forces me to stop and unwind. When my mind races at 100mph during the day, it is nice to be able to close my eyes and disappear from everything in the world. Thank you for the guidance!

Rowan may look young, but don't let her appearance fool you, because she is a very experienced Yogi! In just few short sessions I was able to do asanas I was struggling to do by myself, because of her careful observations of my mistakes, and then helping me to correct them. Definitely would recommend to anyone who feels they are stuck in their progress or struggle to feel the heavenly bliss of what Yoga is really about!
