Initially I like to evaluate the student's current comprehension level (regardless of years studied) to better select the appropriate starting point. From there, if there is a specific subject matter or course work/syllabus for a class that needs to be followed, I can tailor lessons to fit those needs. Throughout lessons, I like to bring in elements such as cartoons, newspapers, movie clips, etc. to aid in understanding everyday usage & make learning practical and pertinent to the student.

Kenji is a great instructor. He has a way of putting it simple and to the point. I haven't ever been confused by his explanations of any of the grammar and at this point I never expect to. Great teacher!

*****Before you sign up*****

There are three simple things you need to know about my tutoring program.
1. I always expect more from my students because I have observed and documented all general traits and phases of language development during my classes and yes, you can always do better than you think you can.
2. My classes go beyond standard delivery of grammar and vocabulary. I bring my students to understanding of how a particular language works as a communication tool and how it can be enhanced.
3. Progress, feeling of accomplishment and remarkable results are just as important and desirable for me as for you therefore I do my best as a teacher for helping you to do your best as a student which should not be a problem if you have made the decision: "I will be proficient in this language!"

I Taught French within U.S. public education institutions, provided private classes for children and adults, developed and implemented individualized syllabus for diplomats, high ...

i like this instructors style because he challenges you. It often feels like immersion in the language which in my experience, though tough, is the fastest most natural way to learn and pick up a new lanaguage.

Roman is the best French teacher that I have ever had. I have taken numerous French classes over the years and I also took a 2 week French immersion class in Provence last summer. He makes learning French fun and he provides great tips on how to keep improving.

The public school system of today requires individuals to function as a different kind of educator. They need teachers who will not only teach, but will also inspire and lead. Moreover, they need administrators who understand the different relationships between students, parents, and schools. As an administrator, I oversaw the successful deployment of several tutoring programs and worked to ensure the longevity of these initiatives. I have a wealth of experience and knowledge to contribute.

I believe that though textbooks and grammar are necessary, students learn best by being exposed to the language so that is why I use a lot of oral exercises as well (dialogues, conversations, questions...).
My goal is for my students to be able to communicate in French, whether for pleasure, for work, on vacation etc.
Being a language highschool teacher, I have all the pedagogical background as well as the knowledge of the language to make your lesson worth your money and time.
