Initially I like to evaluate the student's current comprehension level (regardless of years studied) to better select the appropriate starting point. From there, if there is a specific subject matter or course work/syllabus for a class that needs to be followed, I can tailor lessons to fit those needs. Throughout lessons, I like to bring in elements such as cartoons, newspapers, movie clips, etc. to aid in understanding everyday usage & make learning practical and pertinent to the student.

Kenji is very patient and accommodating. I'm a bit obsessed with getting all my crazy questions answered, and Kenji gives me all the information I need. I could never get this degree of detailed instruction from a college class. He's both fun and informative. As a first-time student of Japanese, I give Kenji two thumbs way up!

I have ten years experience tutoring Spanish, French, and English as a Second Language. I minored in French and studied at the Sorbonne in Paris as well as in Geneva, Switzerland. I tailor the curriculum to the student depending on their goals in learning French as well as particular countries or cultures they are most interested in. Whether you are learning for fun, plan to take a vacation, or wish to live in a French speaking country, I can help you reach your goals.
