Tiffini L.

Escondido, CA

I've been teaching acting for more than 20 years and my students (and I) have gone on to work in theater, film, TV, commercials, modeling, voice overs, and more! Within the first few lessons, you'll you'll learn acting basics and start creating and acting as different characters. I have a large library of acting materials as well as acting literature. Acting techniques may include: The Meisner technique, method acting, classical language interpretation, improv, and acting for the stage, and more! I love working with students of all experience levels to learn how to "professionally pretend."

About Tiffini

I offer a fun, interactive teaching style that encompasses more than 20 years of performing and 15 years of teaching experience. As a performer I have worked as a professional singer, actor, musician, and dancer. I have always had a passion for teaching, directing, and composing. While my love for performing has lessened over the years, I have found my true calling: teaching, directing, and helping others to find their passion for music and the performing arts. I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a special emphasis in music, theatre, dance, and psychology. I am a graduate candidate working on completing my thesis as my final requirement for a Masters of Arts degree in Music at San Diego State University. Member of the National Association of Teachers of ...

I couldn't have asked for a better instructor because I was primarily looking for patience. I have a long time fear of singing and singing in front of people, Tiffini is very patient and easy to work with.

I would like to start off with by saying that Tiffini is an amazing teacher. I have been taking lessons with her for the last year and a half through Skype and each lesson in that time with her has been an enjoyable experience. I started taking speaking voice lessons with her then switched to singing lessons. She was able to help me immensely on both my speaking voice and singing; getting rid of my mumbling for former and helping me to regain confidence in the latter. With both types of lessons she was knowledgeable, encouraging, kind, patient, and a fun teacher to have. I could go on for at least a few pages about Tiffini, but bottom line is that she is a great teacher and I would highly recommend her to anyone who wanted to start taking lessons through takelessons.com.

Joe P.

Escondido, CA

My instruction in acting encompasses all levels from beginning to advanced using a strong base in Stanislavski while blending it with many other theories in order to take students to the deepest levels of characterization and realization – finding the truth in the moment and in the story. The goal of this eclectic approach is to be able to extract something useful from each theory, something that works best for the individual actor thus aiding them in creating their own essential actor’s tool box - a box which holds the keys and secrets to their soul’s inner workings and the mechanisms used to retrieve them.

Long standing memeber: Screen Actor's Guild and Actors Equity Association

About Joe

Will teach age 12 and up.

Sharon is an excellent instructor that can effectively take someone with absolutely zero formal knowledge of music or singing and make a things understandable. I never thought I would be able to read sheet music and now I actually understand what i'm looking at. It's a much broader learning experience than I imagined which is a very good thing. Sharon teaches you the little parts that eventually come together to become a big part of your vocal ability. I'm glad I was able to find someone with this level of in-depth knowledge of music and vocals, it's making for a great learning experience.
