Christine D.

Orlando, FL

About Christine

I started tutoring student-athletes when I was in college. After I graduated with my BS in microbiology with minors in chemistry and Spanish, I was a tutor at a state college working with high school and college students. I have also been privately tutoring students of all ages and levels.

I enjoy the learning process and the interaction between instructor and student, working together to solve problems and figure out concepts that were not clear before. I've always wanted to be a teacher and I hope to be a middle or high school science teacher in the future. I'm currently a grad student fi
nishing my Master's in biomedical science and a substitute teacher.

I have earned good scores in history and English, but I feel more comfortable tutoring in algebra, chemistry, biology, statistics, and Spanish.

As with all services, please give accurate, timely feedback to your tutor. We are tutors, not teachers, and if you are satisfied or dissatisfied with our work, please tell us! We all want to help our students and we cannot do that effectively if the student does not speak up about what they need.

If you enjoy what you're learning and you feel like you're making good progress with your tutor, say it!

If you feel like your tutor is not helping or is not a good personality fit, say it!

Thank you.

Christine was very instrumental in my B in statistic. I could have gotten an A had I been smart enough to engage her services at the beginning of the semester. She was very patient and knowledgeable and wouldn't let me give up on myself.

Jordan C.

Orlando, FL

About Jordan

Well Rounded.

That's how I believe every man and woman should become.

Most people put more time in one field and neglect everything else, when they should be efficient in multiple studies.
Being truly brilliant, is being truly knowledgeable overall.

In my life, I gained experience in many different fields and believed that it would be best to share them all with everybody else, and help each individual become someone knowledgeable in many different aspects of life too.
Because you never know, sooner or later, someone may ask for something that only you can help them with!

My son is quickly learning to read and play notes, beats and chords - which was broken down into basics and explained well. I think this will also improve his math understanding.

Jordan was very patient and personable with my son's lesson. It was his first time learning to play his beginner acoustic guitar. Jordan began with the basics, explaining frets, chords, how to pick and precisely tune listening to an online tuner.

The tuning homework exercise was just right for his introduction. He brought along his electric guitar and explained things for us in a way that was easy to understand and pick up. He is looking forward to his lessons.

Amanda is a very good tutor. She explains very well and has a wonderful grasp on the topics. I will admit, at times I had issues with this subject, but with help from a fellow tutor who really knows her stuff I congratulate her.
I definitely recommend her. Very smart. Very nice. Very understandable.

About Nick

Hi there! My name is Nick and I've been helping students achieve their classroom goals since 2008. As a computer engineering major at the University of Central Florida I've seen my fair share of mathematics and know a ton of tips and tricks that will enable you to learn rather than memorize material. In my tutor sessions I like to ask my students a lot of questions, this helps students absorb the material we are going over as well as give them confidence when answering questions. I'm a fun, dedicated, and hard working person that will help you meet your goals and I'm looking forward to workin
g with you.
