Natalie H.

Yalaha, FL

About Natalie

Born and raised in the suburbs of Chicago, at the age of 9, Natalie knew music was something that was just a part of who she was. Writing songs on the piano before lessons could be scheduled, Natalie found herself immersed in a medium that would bring her joy for the rest of her life.

By age 14 Natalie had won several trophies competing in Classical piano with the Illinois Music Association.

As an adult, she would go on to fill her life with the world of music as a singer, songwriter, performer and recording artist.

Graduating from Elmhurst College (1997) with a Bachelor's in M
usic, Natalie received high accolades earning a membership in the Lambda Sigma Psi Music Honor Society.

During her college years, Natalie created and owned a local music publication called, "The Local Buzz". At this moment she had discovered her desire to teach. "I just wanted everyone I knew in music to know and use what I was learning, or had learned from the music classes, professionals I had been meeting and working with, and my overall music life experiences". By 1997, Natalie was signed to an independent label and embarked on a new adventure.

"Music is an adventure, but without the foundation and passion I had as a child, I would have never landed where I did. I truly LOVE to teach and share what I know about piano, and the world of music. Music is what I know, and know best. Helping to create a solid foundation and build confidence in someone embarking on a journey in music is the most rewarding profession I have ever had the honor of participating in."

Feeding off 40 years of personal and professional experiences, Natalie patiently listens to the student's desires, needs and notates their learning patterns, allowing for growth at their own pace.

Tom S.

Orlando, FL

About Tom

Teaching non-English speaking students the basic fundamentals of English.

I work at the elementary, secondary and post-secondary levels or as adult education instructors providing English instruction to classes or individual students.

As a ESL teacher, developing a curriculum that takes an overall approach to English study that focus on a specific aspect of language use, such as life skills, literacy, or vocational and workplace English. Both approaches involve teaching my students basic English skills, such as listening, reading, writing and speaking.

Classroom wor
k can consist of rote pronunciation techniques, quizzes, textbooks, videos and computer lessons. I often combine basic studies with real-life interactions involving language use in different situations, such as shopping, schooling, job hunting or working with English-speaking coworkers.

I try to be knowledgeable of their students' culture and recognize differences that may affect a student's ability to acclimate to a English-speaking environment.

I prefer to discuss goals with my students and their parents to determine what they are most interested in ACHIEVING. From there together create a lesson plan designed for the individual student.

About Dan

I am a retired band director with thirty-two years of experience. Many of my former students have gone on to great careers, including a band director in Texas, district manager of a Guitar and Drum Center store and even a trumpet player with the Army in Korea! Prior to that, I spent three years as a bugler in the U.S. Army with the Old Guard Fife and Drum Corps near Washington, D.C. Besides all the woodwind, brass and percussion instruments, I play and teach piano and accompany my students at recitals. I have five children of my own in music who perform and teach extensively.

Mr. Arnold has a very thorough knowledge of music and what it takes to physically create music. If you don't understand something one way, he will explain it in other way's that you do understand. He seems to have no limit to his patience and caring about his student's. A great sense of humor, a guy you would like as a neighbor.

We found Mr. Arnold to be one of the best tutors around. He was easy to work with our changing schedule. He covered all the areas we needed, and was able to provide instruction through all levels of talent. We felt blessed for all the help he gave us, but also for the positive roll model he was.

Mr. Patti was a wonderful instructor. I loved how he went beyond the course to provide life lessons and career advise.

During our sessions, he had me practicing on a professional-style microphone, recorded me performing commercials from scripts, and provided feedback and constructive criticism that helped me to grow as a communications student.

I would highly recommend Mr. Patti to any student looking to improve their voice, their stage-presence, presentations, or public-speaking skills.

Bill is really pretty terrific. After going over the basics of first being understood in the public domain (voice and enunciation practices) we are now beginning, at my request, more commercial uses of speech. I have been in theater and done a few voice overs but just did the work with no training, and with the knowledge I could do better. Now I really feel like I am learning much from Bill about a subject area I always wanted more information about. I feel confident with Bill's specific and professional advice, practice and teaching materials (in this case, ad copy and homework).
Bill is also friendly and his teaching is not intimidating or stern. I enjoy his classes and remember his situations. I would highly recommend Bill as a teacher! Try taking one of his classes!
