"I know Mojy ( Ms. Mozhgan Hudiburgh) since she was working for DLI as a Senior Farsi Instructor and Curriculum developer. I was her student in 2007 and 20
08. I happened to see her profile online today, so I decided to give her my feedback. She is AWESOME. You will have learning with fun, if you are Mojy's student. I am glad to have found her online and I am planning to take some classes with this passionate and successful teacher to refresh my Farsi. Hey, about the Background Check, Dont even worry! She has Secret Clearance. and maybe higher, now."

"I first met Elisha in Seoul, Korea where she was a teacher at same middle school as me. As a M.Ed student, I relied on her to proofread grad school essays
and even my final thesis. She was always patient, clear, and detailed. She always explain to me what mistakes I made and how to fix them. My essays and English improved very quickly. Once Elisha started helping me, my grades began to go up. Thank you for your help!"

"This is one bright and consistent young man who is looking to help others by sharing his knowledge with others! He has lots of experience writing poetry,
fiction and even publishing a book his first year in college! You can also sample his writing in Deviant Art! His background of Tae Kwon Do and as an officer with junior ROTC attest to his ability to not only work with others well, but to be a leader and teacher. Leo possesses a very calm and methodic approach to teaching that anybody could respond positively toward. Plus he's got a wicked dry sense of humor and stays up on all things interesting and new. Let him help you!"

"I enjoyed the tutoring session, Akib was very clear and he really made me understand the material of pattern making."
I am a 34 year old professional musician, and Instructor. I teach Trumpet, French Horn, Voice/Singing, and can also tutor in several subjects related to History and I also teach Tennis lessons as well. Since August 2011 I have also been employed as the Brass Section Coach for the Ramona High School Band Program. I have 24 years experience playing trumpet, French Horn and Singing and play in several groups around the San Diego area including: The New City Sinfonia (Chamber Orchestra) The Amalgamated, (a Ska/Reggae Band) Full Strength Funk Band Heartland Brass Ensemble Trumpets R Us Fi
larmonica Portuguesa Uniao De San Diego Tierrasanta Lutheran Church,
I am very passionate about music, from learning to teaching, practicing, performing and recording. Every day my goal is to promote music, learn, practice and help people enjoy music either by listening or performing.
*** Lesson Details *** Lessons will start with good solid warm-up exercises focusing on breathing and proper technique for Brass playing. The 2nd part of lessons will be technique, Scales and method books for trumpet and french horn. The last part of lessons will be working on Solo repertoire and learning songs for performance, sight reading, playing duets and learning jazz improvisation if interested. Lessons will include sight reading, play along/sing along CD's Scales and technique as well as theory.
For my Trumpet Students I use Herbert L. Clarke Technical Studies Book to help improve aerobic endurance, technical and finger velocity as well as production of good tone quality. I will also use the Earl Irons Group of 27 exercises as well as the Max Schlossberg Method to help improve air flow, breathing control and fluidity of sound throughout all registers. I also use the J. B. Arban's Conservatory method for other techniques including scales, double and triple tonguing, intervals as well as duets and solo repertoire. For jazz minded students I will start with basic fundamentals of improvisation including melodic improv, Blues forms and blues scales as well as reading through chord changes and playing in several modes and other scales used in jazz.
I also provide tailored instruction on Bugling, and the proper playing of military bugle calls for those students interested as well as those involved with Boy Scouts who wish to earn their Bugle Merit Badge.
For my French Horn Students I will use the same technique books as Trumpet but learning traditional French Horn Solo repertoire, as well as Brass quintet/choir repertoire and orchestral and concert repertoire. Focus for French Horn students will be mainly on control of partials and tuning techniques.
For my Voice students I will start with good breathing technique and warm up exercises designed to get the vocal chords warmed up and get all the other muscles relaxed in order to produce great tone quality. Focus will be on intonation, and learning to use the air and support to extend the vocalists range higher and lower as well as gain power and confidence in singing. Each Vocal student will have a piece to practice or will bring a piece of their choosing in that they would like to learn and this will be used to apply the techniques learned at the beginning of lessons. Styles of singing that I sing and can teach are Classical, Jazz, Big Band and Standards, Oldies, Pop, Country, Soul, Rock, R&B, Christian Rock and Church Music and also harmonizing like in a duet style or choir/vocal ensemble setting. I will also teach performance techniques, showmanship, stage presence and the overall performance package every singer needs to have confidence while singing.
I am a classically trained musician on Trumpet, French Horn and Voice and reading music, articulations, dynamics and learning musical forms is an essential part to any performers success. I also have studied various jazz styles and improvisational techniques as well. I want to teach students the basics of good musicianship and help them to excel in learning, practicing and performing in their own selected styles of music, whether its classical music, or jazz/rock/pop/country and any other styles students are interested in.
For Academic students who need tutoring I have a very extensive background in history, specifically focusing on US History, Military History, and the study of different eras including major war eras. Academic tutoring can be geared towards the understanding, comprehension and critical thinking understanding of the subject matter, as well as research, essay writing, as well as public speaking and project presentation.
For Tennis Students, I focus on the basics from footwork, to basic swing mechanics as well as strategy. Tennis lessons can be geared to develop specific areas of the game of tennis, or an overall game improvement whether for those who want to be competitive, or just enjoy a friendly game more.

JR is excellent in assessing a student's skill level. Once he has determined it he immediately begins challenging the student with fun drills that focus in on improving areas where the student is struggling. Not a moment of the lesson is lost, everything is focused on moving to the next challenge - although patiently.
I truly enjoy teaching and have many years of experience teaching students of all levels and ages.
I try to teach my students how important it is to listen to themselves play. When appropriate, I bring a guitar or bass (depending on the student's need) and help the student learn how drums relate to the rest of the music. I want all of my students to enjoy playing and to have music as a tool for life: one that helps them express themselves, think creatively, learn specific and technical skills, and grow musically. I believe all people can benefit from learning to play an instrument. If you
or your child believe that music can provide a new way to find meaning and joy in life while learning a valuable skill, please contact me.
In addition, I have successfully taught many students who have had trouble in school due to lack of motivation and/or learning disabilities. Drum/percussion lessons have reawakened these discouraged students' desire to learn and I am happy to adjust my teaching style for any disabilities or difficulties a student may have. I am happy to provide references from parents whose children were struggling in other areas of life and who looked forward to a music lesson when all else seemed to be a chore.
More information: My recent recordings include top-selling Mexican pop artist Yuridia's newest album, Entre Mariposas, produced by his longtime collaborator Javier Calderon, and I have shared credits with Kenny Aronoff and James East.

*** Lesson Details *** Classes are 30, 45 or 60 minutes, depending on age and ability. I give lessons at your home or in my home studio.
I will start by talking to the student and/or parent about what the student would like to accomplish from the lessons and what, if any, musical background the student already has. It's OK if you don't have any experience at all.
The first class is when I focus on understanding how the student learns. Everyone learns differently and is motivated differently, so I make it a point to get to know what makes the student tick. During the first lesson, we will do some basic exercises so I can pinpoint where they are, and I'll assign skills to practice for the next class.
If the class is taught at my home studio, I record it for the student to refer to during the week. I assign exercises for every class, so please plan to practice at least 15 minutes per day while you are taking lessons.
Finally, I offer a recording opportunity for students who are writing songs and would like to learn recording skills. This is an option for advanced students, students who are looking to record a demo, or for young students who would like to preserve their new accomplishments on an audio file that can be given as a gift.

drum lessons made fun!
My son is taking drum lessons for the first time with Enrique. Enrique is friendly, relates to teenagers well and has cool ways to make learning fun!
KennethP March 21, 2010
Enrique is very good with my son Jordan. He is very patient and keeps Jordan interested and challenged. Jordan is learning quickly thanks to Enrique's ability to explain everything in a very straight forward manor.

Enrique was very helpful, instructive, and encouraging I would recommend him.
I'm a devoted and a passionate teacher, my goal is to motivate you and share anything that will help you. Even though I'm teaching a wide variety of subjects I'm passionate to teach every one of them. I love teaching and learning in the process
Lessons are generally in a relaxed setting and designed to work towards accomplishing student determined goals. While all students will study similar fundamentals, every lesson is as different as every person. What are your goals? I'll tell you what you need to do to get there, and help you take the steps to achieve your aspirations.
s a teacher, my goal is to provide a positive hands-on experience. I strive to create an environment where learning is enjoyed and explored, teaching in an exciting, fun, and passionate mode. I am not strict, although I do expect the students to practice. I have an extremely optimistic, energetic disposition and positively encourage my students! This has always served me very well in working with anyone. Contact me for more information!

My daughter only had two sessions with him and I am sure I paid for more than that. He could have reached out to us to schedule more time but he didn't.

Batu and I had a Music Theory class together. He was very helpful in helping me understand complicated rhythms.
Brennan Plassmeyer October 29, 2015
Batu's instructional ability is defined by his patience, kindness, and extensive knowledge. He is attentive to the specific needs of his students, and adapts his teaching style to accommodate them. He will teach you what you want to know, and you will enjoy it thoroughly.
I currently study the drums with Batu, and find his curriculum and methods to be perfectly suited to my learning objectives. I asked to learn the fundamentals of drumming through jazz music, and his ground-up approach beginning with proper technique has already improved my playing. I look forward to studying with Batu for years to come.
As a person, Batu is very humble and approachable, despite his exceptional abilities. He is genuinely interested in the well-being of his students, not just their progress. In him I have found not only a teacher, but a friend as well.
