Mr. Brown is very attentive to my 6-year-old with piano lessons. He's very patient and always pleasant. He also tailors his lessons according to my child's development to ensure he's grasping each concept before moving on to the next lesson. I would highly recommend him as a piano instructor.

Eric B.

Washington, DC

About Eric

My name is Eric M. B. I am a tutor with a four year college degree (B.A.) in math and philosophy and a sum total of eleven years experience in tutoring exclusively to students age 13 to adult. I love to tutor math and see students gain the math knowledge necessary to succeed in their math courses. I put emphasis on mathematical theory and in tutoring I exhibit precision, clarity, and most of all patience. Frequent repetition and further explanation of mathematical theorems and definitions is necessary. I also have the ability to tutor logic, politics, and civics(American government).

I received my degree in Geology from Yangon University in Yangon, Burma in 1993. After I moved to New York City in 2005, I earned a M.A. (Geology) from The City College of New York in 2010. I learned crocheting and sewing from my mother. I also took a bauble, bangle and bead string class, Draping I and II clas

I’ve been teaching private sewing lesson (since 1998), beading and pearl knotting lesson (since 2009), and Burmese language (since 2014) and I have loved helping my students.
Although trained in standard teaching methods, I developed my own method to fulfill my students’ needs.

Mya is very patient with novice learners. Both my 12 year old daughter and I have attended class and we both walk away learning new things each time!

Mya has also been very accommodating with my schedule, allowing me the flexibility to adjust my lesson time on several occasions. She has a dedicated space to give lessons that is open and welcoming!

I definitely recommend Mya. I look forward to continuing my lessons with her.

Kepa F.

Waldorf, MD

About Kepa

Hi! I'm Kepa Freeman and I'm a musician/educator/composer/tutor/songwriter based in Waldorf, MD who's offering a few different services on this site, but one thing is consistent: I work my hardest to give fun/engaging lessons that guide my students to success.

In terms of credentials I have a Master's of Arts in Teaching in Special Education (Trinity Washington University) and a Bachelor's of Science in Music (Temple University). I'm also a licensed Special Education Teacher for grades K-12 in Washington, DC. On the musical side, my musical credentials can be heard here: www.broadjam.co
m/kepafreeman.

A little about my experience as a teacher. I've spent the last 5 years working as an elementary Special Education Teacher. Before that I was a Music Production Teacher. Before that, I was a teacher's aide for a Special Education High School. a Substitute Teacher, and a Tutor. Overcoming challenges to show my students success is what I do!

I hope to work with you soon!

Wow The lessons are great and I am moving faster than I ever thought after the 2nd lesson. Kepa loves teaching. His method great for a beginner like myself. I can't wait for next lesson. Kepa is so inspiring. I am a senior citizen and I thought taking lessons would be difficult. But Kepa provided otherwise. I made a great choice in selecting Kepa

Kepa was my son's special education teacher in elementary school. We were so impressed with Kepa's professionalism and he did a great job providing services that were above and beyond the goals in my son's IEP. Once my son moved on to middle school, Kepa tutored him successfully in math and writing. Kepa is kind, creative, and fun and has a particular gift for meeting kids where they are. I've never met a kid (or adult) that didn't absolutely love Kepa!
