I am a classically trained pianist who has been playing for all of my life. Some of the most complicated pieces are part of my own repertoire, from Chopin to Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody. I can play almost anything that is put in front of me, as well as anything I hear. My goal is to let students grow as a musician to be able to play piano for their own entertainment and pleasure. *** Lesson Details *** Playing piano is a gift, which is what I want to bring to my students. It is a talent that needs to be learned, and I am the teacher who will bring it out of the student. I'm the most patient, laid back, humorous, and easy-going teacher a student can have. I like students to enjoy their lessons, so the curriculum is up to them once I establish the basics. I'm the teacher who will ...
I am studying for my D.M. degree in Music Composition at Florida State. I have been playing piano since I was 4 and French horn since I was 12. My compositions have been performed by the USF Percussion Ensemble, members of the Greater Cleveland Flute Society and my electroacoustic works have been selected for festival such as Soundcrawl and the New York City Electroacoustic Music Festival. In 2012 I was a recipient of an ASCAP Plus award. Whenever I teach, whether it be piano, horn, theory, or composition my goal is always to make you the best musician you can be. Not necessarily the best performer, but the best musician. The things you will learn from me will be the things that will transcend a particular instrument and will transfer to any part of musical life your path takes you. ***

I love helping those over 18 enjoy piano whether for the very first time or just brushing up on almost forgotten skills. Come on, let's have some fun with piano.
I started writing and voicing radio commercials very young, as well as singing in a church choir. Creative writing and singing were my first loves. This was followed by playing piano and studying psychology. Now I apply my skills and talents to a broad range of interests and income sources. I truly believe that life is an adventure and we must never limit ourselves. We must be adventurous and willing to think outside the box and try many new things.
