Alfred has an infectious enthusiasm for the bass guitar that carries over in his lessons. I wanted to learn the slap and pop techniques of my favorite bass players including Marcus Miller and others. Alfred is a skilled percussive bass player who is fluent in these techniques. He is a patient teacher who will introduce new techniques and concepts at your own pace, whether you are a beginner or more advanced player. The lessons always go over the time allotment and we often have to force ourselves to “call it a night” and put down our bass guitars. The bottom line is that I’m having fun and making good progress. Online lessons have their place, but you don’t get the feedback and accountability that comes from taking in-person lessons. I can highly recommend Alfred to anyone who is serious about learning how to properly play bass guitar.

Alfred is a phenomenal teacher. There are a lot of wonderful musicians that are expert at their crafts but does not have the expertise of teaching it to others. Alfred not only he is a wonderful bass player but his teaching skills is amazing. I've been taking leasing for about a month and a half and it is amazing the amount of things I've learned. Furthermore, I signed up for 30 minutes lessons, I can't recall once so far where our lessons only last 30 minutes. we almost always go over an hour. This is what I call true passion for music. I couldn't ask for a better teacher. I've enjoyed every lessons and can't wait till the next one. With Alfred help, I know i'll reach my goals in no time.

Sean H. Chicago, IL

Saxophone is my life! I have played saxophone for 16 years and nothing makes me happier than sharing my knowledge with others. I have a BM Jazz Studies/Saxophone Performance from Western Michigan University.
While my passion is jazz, I also have plenty of classical experience. I love teaching saxophone!!

About Sean

I have been magnetized to the saxophone ever since I was introduced to the music of John Coltrane in the seventh grade. Since then I have been in a constant pursuit of deepening my understanding of music and all its beautiful forms, and sharing that knowledge with those who are interested! Hailing from Flagstaff, Arizona, I attended Western Michigan University on a four year scholarship and received my Bachelor of Music, Jazz Studies in 2009. While I was there I had the incredible privilege of studying with the great Trent Kynaston, as well as performing with some of the most influential jazz musicians today, including Bobby McFerrin, Stefon Harris, Billy Hart, Fred Hersch, and Randy Brecker. I now live in Chicago where I teach lessons and perform regularly with my band, The Winchester ...

Sean is a one of a kind teacher !

Sean is a passionate, energetic and empathic instructor with an amazing mix of both theoretical knowledge and real-life experience.

Sean adapted the lessons to my skills level and challenged me to try out new techniques and expanded my musical horizons.

I can see how my saxophone playing skills have developed throughout our lessons and can't wait to get back home to show my friends and family all the new stuff I learned.

My Saxophone teaching approach is centered around physical ease, capacity for sound, and freedom with the instrument. Lessons are guided by the student's interests and direction.
and also function as an incubating ground for the student's interests and direction.

Staff reading, tone production and intonation, music theory, and ear training are at the disposal of the Student.

About Nathan

Music begins with the body. We can begin by making it very comfortable to hold an instrument and produce sound. From here rhythm, melody, and song come naturally. My goal is to be there to help you absorb the music with as little obstruction and effort, making learning easy, enjoyable, and gratifying. *** Studio Equipment *** Guitar Hand Drums and Percussion various handmade wood flutes *** Travel Equipment *** Hand Drums and Percussion Saxophone various handmade wood flutes About my musical lifeline: Percussion is my latest love, and feels very true to my heart and purpose. Making great progress

I'm writing about my son's ukelele lessons with Nathan. He's a young beginner, who was very hesitant about learning an instrument. Nathan is great with children; he's very adept at making them comfortable and following their readiness cues.

It's only been a couple of months at this point, but my son has gotten more excited about playing and is learning more every week.

excellent instructor and a wonderful person

I have been taking music lessons with Daniel since April of 2013 and it has been a great learning experience.

I had no musical background and I started learning Saxophone with Daniel and 7 months later, I am able to play popular songs that he chooses to fit best for enhancing learning curve. He does a great job with reinforcing correct habits from the very beginning and has been very encouraging and has highlighted improvement as we go from class to class. As music learning can be frustratingly slow, the feedback and reassurance he provides definitely helps in keep going back for more.

I wanted to learn guitar and piano with him as well, he encouraged to learn only Piano (for enhancing learning curve for musical theory concepts) and hold guitar for later. Which speaks about how he is genuinely concerned about your learning of music with sound reasoning. So now I take guitar and Piano lessons with him. He is very patient, polite and professional. He is great with students of all ages and easily modifies teaching style as per student needs.

Besides all that he is a great person to talk to. Numerous times we have had great discussions about things outside music.

I would highly recommend Daniel for music lessons to everyone.

Our 10 year old son has taken three lessons with Corbin, and loves the lessons. We are impressed with how much is taught in such a short amount of time and how our son is retaining all of it. He is reading music, playing songs, and enjoying it all.

Great teacher, personable, patient, expert musician. I recommend for students of all ages. I already know other instruments and music theory but I can see his teaching skills would be great for a total beginner as well.
