Thomecia B. Nashville, TN

About Thomecia

Hello! My name is Thomecia, you may call me Mimi :) I've been teaching at my Alma Mater, Fisk University since I stepped foot on campus in 2010. I taught routines for the cheer squad and hip hop dance team. I also choreographed for numerous students on campus. Before college I obtained 15+ years of experience in many styles of dancing as well as cheerleading. I am now looking forward to enhancing my experience in choreography. I love working with children! I also love a great challenge, so if you feel like you have two left feet, I could change your world! Always remember, you are the artist and your body is the paint brush... Just move!

About Millie

My name is Millie! I have been dancing professionally for over a decade. I began my teaching career assisting and learning to teach at the prestigious School at Steps in NYC. From that I have taught preschool all the way through professional level! My specialties include beg-adv jazz, musical theatre, ballet, contemporary jazz and choreography. I am also currently a professional dancer for the National Hockey League.

Marques F. Antioch, TN

I have been dancing for 6 years. I have studied modern, Ballet, jazz, African, and theatrical dance. Dance is not only about the steps or the technicalities but also about the feeling behind the movement. I don't just teach steps and give directions. I want the student to be able to feel the art of dance. That is what makes a good dancer a great one.

About Marques

I am a senior at Nashville School for the Arts studying dance (ballet, modern, jazz, african, and choreography). I have performed with the Nashville Symphony in Firebird and Swan Lake. I have studied ballet in New York City with the Dance Theatre of Harlem. I aspire to receive a degree in dance from the Alvin Ailey School soon after my audition in February. I not only dance, but sing and act. I have been involved in various community and educational theatre productions. I have also been cast in a Broadway Musical of "Ragtime". I love to teach kids and adults who are ready and willing to learn.
