"Our 5 year old daughter was advised to take martial arts lessons by her school teacher to build confidence in class and at the playground. We were worried
she would not take to it as she is very girly and into ballet. To our surprise, after a couple of trail sessions with Max, she became very enthusiastic about karate lessons and transitioned to a regular class full of boys seamlessly. Max has given our daughter a lot of attention to her personality needs and tremendous encouragement in class. He knows what motivates children and makes the class fun. He truly does care for the children's well being. He checks in with the parents to see how he can help with any issues. Kids look up to Max and it is wonderful to have him set examples."

"Kamran has been teaching both my sister (17) and I (21) for a couple of months now. It is the the most comfortable I have ever felt in one on one tutoring
. He is very knowledgeable, but also accessible. I'm not afraid to ask questions and I feel like i'm receiving thorough answers. His criticism is constructive and while his compliments are encouraging, they are spared for the moments when I deserve them. I can tell he cares that I actually progress in my training and reach my goals of being able to defend myself as opposed to constantly trying to appease me or boost my ego. I sincerely recommend him for anyone who is serious about learning and wants sound and organized instruction. He is also a great way to start for new learners who are too nervous to join a full classroom setting like myself.
Lastly, I do feel safe training with him. He went to school for kinesiology and is very attentive to my body's health and safety while training."
I have worked for many Colleges and Kids Sports organizations. I have been background checked many times. I also teach kids of many ages at The Arbor Learning Center home schooling group.
Mr. M. is a CG artist. Like many, his love for art started in grade school and evolved in high school. While running his own T-Shirt Design company, "Extreme Limitations", he was able to quickly see the power of design, layout, color, and typography.
With over twenty years of experience in Graphic Design, Illustration, Prototype Design, Game Art, and Motion Graphics, Mr. M. now spends his time teach
ing students in many different graphic disciplines. He has been at Norco College since 2006 teaching 3D Modeling, Animation, Beginning and Advanced Photoshop, Illustrator, Digital Sculpting and Character Design. He has also taught 3D Modeling, Animation, Drawing, Motion Graphics, and Video Editing at Coastline Community College, and Cypress College, Santa Ana and is now teaching 3D Modeling at Mt. SAC.
In his free time, Mr. M. freelances for companies helping production schedules that are running behind. In 2009, Gilbert won an Emmy.

This experience really helped me grasp important concepts that I otherwise would have never known. I feel like I learned A LOT in only 3 classes and I can't wait to learn more. Gil was very productive; he based the lessons on what I use Photoshop for and actually allowed us to work on projects that I had to do for work, instead of just teaching what he wanted to teach. He was SUPER patient and never made me feel bad for stopping to take notes. I would definitely recommend him to anyone trying to learn a computer program he is knowledgeable in. This is totally irrelevant, but he has cool hair too! Thanks Gilbert!

Very knowledgable instructor. Fits the whole class with information, so you leave feeling very accomplished. Our first lesson was exactly what I wanted, and look forward to the next lesson.
I work as a tutor and mentor in many of those fields for years. It was and is a side business, but I always enjoyed teaching. I am looking forward to move on with you and / or your kids. Have a great day, Marcel
Update 02/10/15: Takelessons is a great way to teach and a fantastic and easy way to learn for students. I currently have 3 students per week, with several hours. I really enjoy it, either online via Skype or Facetime or Live at the students place. Hit me up and let's move something together.

Hi, I'm Tony. I LOVE bowling. Every aspect of it. Competition, fun, meeting people, and making people better. You know the old saying, "Those who can, do. Those who can't, teach" Well, it kind of applies to me. I'm a natural right hander that has to bowl left handed due to injury.
Bowling is a great sport that is even more fun once you can keep the ball out of the gutter, and even more fun as you get better. I'd love to share the journey with you. I typically coach out of La Habra, but can travel within a reasonable distance. Even not so reasonable (for a small fee). I do coach k
