"Our 5 year old daughter was advised to take martial arts lessons by her school teacher to build confidence in class and at the playground. We were worried
she would not take to it as she is very girly and into ballet. To our surprise, after a couple of trail sessions with Max, she became very enthusiastic about karate lessons and transitioned to a regular class full of boys seamlessly. Max has given our daughter a lot of attention to her personality needs and tremendous encouragement in class. He knows what motivates children and makes the class fun. He truly does care for the children's well being. He checks in with the parents to see how he can help with any issues. Kids look up to Max and it is wonderful to have him set examples."

"I am so pleased i came in with virtually no Table Tennis experience besides a few weeks in high school PE, and I am now rallying with coach Morris through
out the entire lesson. interestingly enough I am also noticing my volleyball skills improving! I think what's happened is that I'm training my brain to stay focused on the ball and not take my eyes off it as i hit it. My game has improved much faster than I expected, and I attribute that to coach Morris not only correcting my technique, but helping learn how to self-correct. this guy knows his stuff and if you listen to him you will improve rapidly as well. Anyway I feel like I get my money's worth and genuinely enjoy taking lessons with coach Morris. he is always prepared and ready to play. he is full of useful advice and drills to work your week spots.if you really want to learn the game and improve, then Morris is your man."

"Willie is a rare breed of instructor for a number of reasons:
1. His infectious personality quickly puts you at ease as he teaches. The pressure and
nervousness of learning a new activity from a stranger quickly melts into a more relaxed session with a trusted expert. 2. He is able to assess what you currently have, and quickly begin to improve your skill set. Personal instruction from Willie isn't a lecture, it is a discussion on improvement. I have experienced and witnessed Willie improve the ten-year veteran practitioner to welcoming and effectively instructing the first-time student. 3. Lessons are focused, but not pressured. Lessons vary in content, making boredom impossible. Willie is able to communicate effectively to all levels of student, and it won't be long until you 'get it'.
A great person that possesses the skill to perform and the patience to teach. What more could a student ask for?"

(I've taught age 3 and up before, however the ages I've listed above for lessons is what I have found to be most effective. Group
classes my be a good alternative for very young students seeking voice or band instruments.)
Hello, fellow music lovers! My name is Nicole and I would be honored to have the opportunity to help you take your music skills, whether beginning to advanced, to the next level! I am a singer with 25+ years of experience with solos, small ensemble groups, and large choirs. My singing styles range from opera, musical theatre, jazz, gospel, and christian contemporary, just to name a few. : ) I am also an experienced flutist with 5 + years of study and an intermediate-level pianist with about 5 years of study in the classical technique, and playing chords to follow most any style. I also enjoy teaching some music theory (the rules of music) in written, sight singing, and piano chords, if requested. Music theory along with voice and instrument lessons can provide a further understanding of each musical concept.
My training first began in elementary school, in Virginia Beach, VA, when I took my first group voice lessons and concert band classes as a beginning flutist. I continued my study with a large home school band in the 7th grade. I was then chosen to play the flute in an All City Band in Virginia Beach, for excellence in my performance skills. From there I continued my study at a private school in Virginia Beach with many chorus, band, and youth band classes to further my music reading and improvisational performance skills. At age eighteen I moved to Tampa, FL and became a Liberal Arts major with a concentration in Music at Hillsborough Community College (HCC). I graduated from HCC with an AA in Liberal Arts/Music. I was then accepted to further my music study at the University of South Florida (USF). I studied voice and a sampling of other instruments in the Music Education program. I graduated with two and one-half years of music education training and another four years of voice training with a BA in Music Studies. Also, during my college years I participated in the elite USF Chamber Singers, the University Singers, the Master Chorale of Tampa Bay, and many studio recitals.
In 2013 I completed my fourth year of music teaching in a small private school in Tampa, FL. I have sang with Opera Tampa since their 2012-2013 season in the professional opera chorus for productions such as Carmen, The Magic Flute, and Madame Butterfly. I have continued to add new performance jobs with The Princeton Festival in Princeton, NJ (2014), St. Petersburg Opera in St Pete, FL , and the Tampa Spiritual Ensemble performing in the surrounding Tampa Bay areas. In addition, I continue my studies part time at the Patel Conservatory in downtown Tampa.
I look forward to working with you to make all your music dreams come true! So, let's make beautiful music together very soon!
*** Lesson Details *** When taking lessons with me you can expect to learn in a very positive, encouraging, and laid back environment! I believe that learning is fun, very rewarding, and never stops. I plan to continue learning more about my craft for the rest of my life and I would encourage my students of all ages to adopt this mentality also.
For voice lessons I like to begin with warm-ups and breathing exercises that can be modified to any style of songs. Then to song selections that will be enjoyable, yet helpful in making your voice better. For opera style I primarily use the G. Schirmer Opera Anthology books, and Hal Leonard published anthology series' for different art songs. For all other vocal styles I enjoy using various published individual-song sheet music or CDs and accompaniment tracks. Along the way giving all applicable tips for producing better sound, projection, breathing, phrasing, and musicality.
For flute lessons I would begin with scales or simple exercises. Then to specific pieces that you would want to work on or techniques from the Accent on Achievement or Standards of Excellence book series'.
For piano lessons I would begin with finger stretches, scale warm-ups and/or easy chords or pieces to get the fingers ready to practice. Then I would progress to your chosen pieces or a book from the Alfred or Bastien Piano Book series', which includes books for all levels and styles.
*** Travel Equipment *** I provide a keyboard for demos and use for students, a flute for demos, CDs, and some lesson books.
*** Specialties *** Vocal: Up to advanced level Classical, Jazz, Musical Theatre, R&B, Pop, Gospel, Sight-reading Flute: Up to Intermediate level Classical, Sight-reading Piano: Beginner & Intermediate levels Classical, Chord Theory, Sight-reading

Nicole is a terrific instructor! This was my first time taking singing lessons, but Nicole was prepared to start from the beginning with me. She took the time to listen to what I was looking for out of these lessons and determine what my strengths and weaknesses were. Nicole allowed me to choose songs for us to work on, but was very willing to help me choose songs that suite my voice, challenged me, or were just fun songs to work on! I very much recommend taking lessons with Nicole if you're preparing for any performance or just want to develop your voice.

Great!! She does a great job with breaking down information to make it easier to understand and learn the content. She wants you to be successful in learning the material. If there is something you do not understand, she will go over it until you comprehend the information. Janalee is a true teacher because she is very patient and understanding when it comes to your learning style.

I must say Janalee is a phenomenal tutor. Her lesson plans are well structured and well thought out. Before studying under her tutelage , I was extremely nervous about taking my GRE. Not only did I pass my exam, I surpassed my own expectations.
Thank you Janalee, you played a pivotal role of my success !!!!

I like that she get's straight to the point and her hours are extremely flexible. Janalee has helped me master all subject areas of the NCLEX and in the past she has helped me brush up on the mathematics logic section of the GRE
