Kortnee is a fabulous teacher! She came into our home and taught my 9 and 11-year old daughters piano once a week. Both girls thrived and looked forward to their lessons. The progress they made in one year with Kortnee was impressive. We have moved out of state and the biggest regret is that we can't find another piano teacher like Kortnee. We miss her and her enthusiasm for teaching music. Best instructor ever!

Kortnee is amazing!!

I actually take both piano and flute from Kortnee. Her energy is contagious and she knows many styles of music. She is always ready to support what I want/need to do and can give me a tip within minutes that will help me forever. I can puzzle over a phrase or mood, and she will immediately "get it". She loves to see me have fun, and loves to help me over the rough spots.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

I've been teaching piano for over 11+ years. My teaching style is we go at the pace you want to go. I let the student tell me what their goals are, and we work around it.

My philosophy: everyone is their own person. No one is built the same!

About Kate

I graduated from UTSA in the Fall of 2008, with a Bachelor of Music with a Vocal and Piano Emphasis. I have been teaching private piano and voice for 11+ years. I am fun, energetic, and patient. About Felipe

Hello and thank you for viewing my profile. My name is Felipe Garcia and I am a self-taught music teacher. I began teaching music in 2010 and have loved it ever since. I believe learning to play music can be fun and easy, and I work hard to make sure your experience with music is one that will inspire you to keep playing for the rest of your life, for as Friedrich Nietzsche said, “without music, life would be a mistake.” My experience with music began long ago when I begged my parents to buy me a drumset and they finally gave in and bought me one when I was 14. Prior to that, I had no real experience with music except as a listener. I taught myself how to play by playing along with CDs of my favorite bands and eventually I felt like the drums wasn't enough, so I talked my parents into ...

Felipe has been great. I am learning a challenging new instrument - a 6-string banjo (aka a Banjitar) - which is a banjo/guitar blend. In less than a month I am feeling more confident and comfortable with the instrument. I am looking forward to learning more!

Felipe has been a fantastic instructor! My son is 4, nearing 5, and like most his age, has a limited attention span. Felipe has been able to keep him engaged and has been extremely flexible and easy to work with. He has introduced my son to not only drums, but also any other instrument he shows an interest in. I highly recommend him.

Michael has been wonderful. He seems very young to this old woman, but his maturity is remarkable. I have never had a teacher handle 'Thias the way Michael does. Somehow he seems to always be a step ahead of his young student and has a distinct ability to keep 'Thias focused on the lesson. Mathias has learned so much in the last four weeks, his playing sounds much more mature and organized and he is enraptured with the music he is making. I have always had to keep an eye on the lesson to make sure that Mathias was engaged. Somehow I do not feel the need to do that anymore. I guess I can say that Michael has given me the chance to relax and "enjoy the music". Thank you, Michael, You are making my dream and Mathias's dream come true.

I can help the student with such things as scales, chords, chord progressions, and I can help with learning songs/pieces I have in mind, if not your own! All I need to know is what the student's goal is and we can work together to help work towards it! I use approaches I have learned from taking lessons myself as well as ones I develop after learning what the student's goals are. I can provide beginner piano materials if you do not have your own! As with the other services I offer, I look to maintain motivation and help feed the student's passion.

About Andrew

I have experience tutoring students as well as working with individuals individually and in groups, as an undergrad intern, a cognitive skills trainer, and a counseling student. As an undergrad intern, I worked with elementary school children as a tutor and a mentor. As a counseling student, I have worked with various populations, from children to adults to older adults in hospice care, as well as individuals suffering from a mental illness. This diversity has given me an all around kind of perspective when it comes to working with individuals and has especially helped me further develop my approach to working with individuals. My approach is one that is peculiar to the individual. As an auto-didactic learner, I believe that everyone has their own way of learning; therefore,
