Perhaps my most popular lesson, I teach piano to all ages and all levels. I am particularly skilled in the area of accelerating the beginner/early intermediate pianist into a high level of musicianship. I customize my piano instruction to each individual student, so that each can develop a plan to achieve personal growth and success through musicianship.
I started teaching piano lessons as a senior at the University of Texas in 2011. My students range in age from 5 to 13 years old, introductory to intermediate playing levels.
I have an extensive background in music theory including classical piano training, contemporary guitar, years of choir, and personal voice coaching.
I have a special ability to work with young and inexperienced students. I am the perfect teacher for a student that is just being introduced to the world of piano. I am also a great teacher for those students who have a light background but are just starting to be re-introduced to the piano.
Within the first few lessons, you'll be able to start learning to read music and as time goes on you'll be able to work on playing piano pieces of your choice. I typically use Piano Adventure books, and add basic music theory into my lessons. I love working with students of all ages and experience levels and I can't wait to meet you!
