I've been playing piano my whole life. I like to use method books, but also teach in a more hands on style where the student learns chords and scales and songs as well
With a background in Suzuki method and Masters degree in music composition, I use my own method and curriculum that aim to give a thorough understanding of how music works and sounds as well as training the memory of songs and exercises, technique, and improvisation.
Acclaimed concert pianist and award-winning piano teacher. All ages and skill levels taught. I have 20+ years experience teaching beginners, intermediate, and advanced level piano to children and adults. Some of my past students have been finalists in televised talent shows and now enjoy professional music careers. For example, Sofia Olsson ("True Talent" Finalist, Sweden), Feridah Rose ("Denmark's Got Talent" Semi-Finalist), and Rasma Freimane ("Top Overall Vocalist", Tech Music School, London). My music is available on iTunes, Spotify, Amazon, etc. Don't be shy. Fun and friendly learning environment. I look forward to guiding you on your educational journey!
I've been teaching piano for 29 years and my students have received jobs as pianists in different churches. Within the first few lessons, you'll be able to play with both hands, read notation, and as time goes on you'll be able to play music of your own choice. I specialize in classical piano, and I typically use Hal Leonard books, which come with CD's. I enjoy working with students of all ages and experience levels, and I can't wait to meet you!
11 years of teaching and 20 years of playing experience. I specialize in composition and performance. I studied both at the Tacoma School of the Arts. Often times my composition jobs are completed with short deadlines: 72-hour film festivals, 48-hour film festivals, and so on. My performance experience includes having performed live over 100 times in the few years I've actually started performing seriously, for weddings, parties, bands etc.
