"My 10 year old daughter has been acting, singing and modeling and preparing for a big event this coming Summer. It was a total God thing meeting Connie an
d she gave my daughter an amazing opportunity to be an extra in a film she was Producing. When we found out that Connie gave private lessons we signed her up. Connie has a God given gift of encouragement, seeing potential in others and then drawing that out. My daughter is blossoming before my eyes. Connie's knowledge and experience in so many areas has also helped her with her singing and modeling. Connie has developed her confidence and her acting ability in just a short amount of time and she is really great with kids. I highly recommend her and give her 5 stars!"

"Stephen has been giving our teenager daughter weekly lessons in "J-pop" dancing. Even though his background does not include this particular style, he has
done a great job of staying ahead of our daughter, and-even more importantly-encouraging and motivating her to keep at it. (Since dancing is one of the few exercises she will do willingly, this is key!) She looks forward to the weekly lesson and so do we."

"Milton J. was on time and a complete professional.
For someone reentering the field of Acting and Musical Theater, Milton J was a perfect choice. He has
range in his skill set to address any kind of Music and Theater genres. I was so impressed, once we really had started on the lesson of what he has in his lesson. Quite a lot to do, that is deep behind the scenes and pre-performance set-up for the student to preset for a chararacter to come out of us. This, I remember from my Professional Acting for Television and Film days was what is called Actors Homework...in LA you are 2 scenes in before my former LA Teacher began to explain the pre-set tech that Milton J came with, right from the start. Awsome teacher!"

I have taught over 250 private voice students in Boston, CT, New York City, and Lakewood Ranch, FL. I specialize in contemporary styles ranging from musical theater, to pop, to blues, to R&B and beyond. I graduated with a professional music degree from Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA. I performed professionally for 15 years: as a wedding singer, on tour as a backup singer, in a musical at Carnegie Hall, with a big band at the Rainbow Room, at the Bitter End debuting my CD of original music, as a house studio vocalist for a NYC recording studio, and more. I have tons of great references

Carey is currently working with our 9yo daughter. She has built a wonderful rapport, is very patient, and has helped our daughter's interest in music blossom into full fruition. It's truly wonderful to see our daughter having fun doing something she loves, and it takes a special teacher to make that happen with kids. Highly recommend.
I have been a professional performing musician and producer for over 10 years and have had hundreds of students during that time. I grew up playing classic rock and classical. By the time I graduated high school I had visited 26 states playing music. I have studied music at the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma and have performed in various groups. I have a unique passion for teaching music and making it fun. I have the classical training and performance experience to help take your musicianship to the next level while having a blast.

I've had the pleasure to perform with Jeremy in the Shaky Ground band for several years now. He is simply the best lead guitar player that I've performed with - period. He is fun, witty, and his finger-picking style (he uses no pick) is simply amazing. He also sings and harmonizes quite well. I've learned quite a bit from him during our time together.

Jeremy and I have worked together for a number of years. He thrives for music and strives to improve his own skills, passing it on to those he works with. He's very good at what he does, knowledgeable, and fun to work with.

Jeremy worked with my son on singing and was very helpful to him. He was patient, funny, and fun. Thank you!
I have been teaching in different capacities for 30 years. I have two 60 credit Masters in Music in Jazz Performance and in Composition. I lived in Europe for 16 years where I performed with my ensemble in Germany, Russia and the United States. Upon my return, I did my graduate schooling and became a music teacher. I taught in Westport, Ct, at Oakwood Friends School in Poughkeepsie and in the New York City Department of Education. I have led many a Chorus and have taught Strings and Band. There is nothing I love more than seeing my students grow through their study of music. I have seen
children develop in so many ways! They grew in self-worth as well as academically and I saw them maturing into fine human beings.
I have seen my own enthusiasm for learning and discovery transmitted to my students. I believe that music affects the whole person and that each student is unique. I have given workshops in Multiple Intelligence and will tailor the lessons to the students best learning capabilities. Most of all, it will be fun!
*** Lesson Details *** First of all I will share with the student that music is a language and with this language one can express one's innermost self. It's so much fun to "crack the code" and learn to "speak" in music. The first lesson will be spent in sharing a bit about ourselves as we will be working together to reach the student's goals.
We will talk about the instrument be it voice, piano or another instrument and I will try to communicate the level of respect one must have for their instrument. That it is one of their best friends. We will always have fun, but it should be clear that this is a journey of discovery and each step will bring the student closer to his/her goal so there should be a willingness and a commitment to give to this goal. Practice will be strongly encouraged. I will help them create a practice schedule and give them assignments. After 3-6 months, they will have learned to sing/play while reading, but they also will have learned to compose and create new pieces of music. I find that this keeps the enthusiasm alive as well as helping them grow enormously as a musician.
*** Travel Equipment *** I expect my students to have an instrument and a music stand. I can arrange to acquire the instructional booklets when needed
Voice & flute students age 10 and up Piano students age 4 and up
(I've taught age 3 and up before, however the ages I've listed above for lessons is what I have found to be most effective. Group classes may be a good alternative for very young students seeking voice or band instruments.)
Hello, fellow music lovers! My name is Nicole and I would be honored to have the opportunity to help you take your music skills, whether beginning to advanced, to the next level! I am a singer with 25+ years of experience with solos, small ensemble groups, and large choirs. My singing styles range fro
m opera, musical theatre, jazz, gospel, and christian contemporary, just to name a few. : ) I am also an experienced flutist with 5 + years of study and an intermediate-level pianist with about 5 years of study in the classical technique, and playing chords to follow most any style. I also enjoy teaching some music theory (the rules of music) in written, sight singing, and piano chords, if requested. Music theory along with voice and instrument lessons can provide a further understanding of each musical concept.
My training first began in elementary school, in Virginia Beach, VA, when I took my first group voice lessons and concert band classes as a beginning flutist. I continued my study with a large home school band in the 7th grade. I was then chosen to play the flute in an All City Band in Virginia Beach, for excellence in my performance skills. From there I continued my study at a private school in Virginia Beach with many chorus, band, and youth band classes to further my music reading and improvisational performance skills. At age eighteen I moved to Tampa, FL and became a Liberal Arts major with a concentration in Music at Hillsborough Community College (HCC). I graduated from HCC with an AA in Liberal Arts/Music. I was then accepted to further my music study at the University of South Florida (USF). I studied voice and a sampling of other instruments in the Music Education program. I graduated with two and one-half years of music education training and another four years of voice training with a BA in Music Studies. Also, during my college years I participated in the elite USF Chamber Singers, the University Singers, the Master Chorale of Tampa Bay, and many studio recitals.
In 2013 I completed my fourth year of music teaching in a small private school in Tampa, FL. I have sang with Opera Tampa since their 2012-2013 season in the professional opera chorus for productions such as Carmen, The Magic Flute, and Madame Butterfly. I have continued to add new performance jobs with The Princeton Festival in Princeton, NJ (2014), St. Petersburg Opera in St Pete, FL , and the Tampa Spiritual Ensemble performing in the surrounding Tampa Bay areas. In addition, I continue my studies part time at the Patel Conservatory in downtown Tampa.
I look forward to working with you to make all your music dreams come true! So, let's make beautiful music together very soon!
*** Lesson Details *** When taking lessons with me you can expect to learn in a very positive, encouraging, and laid back environment! I believe that learning is fun, very rewarding, and never stops. I plan to continue learning more about my craft for the rest of my life and I would encourage my students of all ages to adopt this mentality also.
For voice lessons I like to begin with warm-ups and breathing exercises that can be modified to any style of songs. Then to song selections that will be enjoyable, yet helpful in making your voice better. For opera style I primarily use the G. Schirmer Opera Anthology books, and Hal Leonard published anthology series' for different art songs. For all other vocal styles I enjoy using various published individual-song sheet music or CDs and accompaniment tracks. Along the way giving all applicable tips for producing better sound, projection, breathing, phrasing, and musicality.
For flute lessons I would begin with scales or simple exercises. Then to specific pieces that you would want to work on or techniques from the Accent on Achievement or Standards of Excellence book series'.
For piano lessons I would begin with finger stretches, scale warm-ups and/or easy chords or pieces to get the fingers ready to practice. Then I would progress to your chosen pieces or a book from the Alfred or Bastien Piano Book series', which includes books for all levels and styles.
*** Travel Equipment *** I provide a keyboard for demos and use for students, a flute for demos, CDs, and some lesson books.
*** Specialties *** Vocal: Up to advanced level Classical, Jazz, Musical Theatre, R&B, Pop, Gospel, Sight-reading Flute: Up to Intermediate level Classical, Sight-reading Piano: Beginner & Intermediate levels Classical, Chord Theory, Sight-reading

Nicole is a terrific instructor! This was my first time taking singing lessons, but Nicole was prepared to start from the beginning with me. She took the time to listen to what I was looking for out of these lessons and determine what my strengths and weaknesses were. Nicole allowed me to choose songs for us to work on, but was very willing to help me choose songs that suite my voice, challenged me, or were just fun songs to work on! I very much recommend taking lessons with Nicole if you're preparing for any performance or just want to develop your voice.

My name is Natasha and I am a certified tutor in reading, math, writing, language and grammar just to name a few subjects. I enjoy helping and watching children gain confidence in areas that were once a challenge. I make learning fun and comprehensive, but most of all memorable. I promise you won't be disappointed. I also enjoy giving acting lessons because it broadens your versatility and hones in on skills that are sometimes suppressed. Acting pushes you to think, perform, project, engage and entertain and I absolutely love it and you will too.
