"Ever since I started working with Aaron, I’ve discovered more and more about myself as an actress and improviser. I’ve taken group improv classes from Aar
on for over a year now and more recently I have worked with him on monologues for college auditions. I honestly think he has pushed my boundaries to a point where I have grown to accomplish things far out of my comfort zone. My favorite part about working with Aaron is the constructive criticism he gives. He is incredibly insightful and honest, yet I feel as if he is always on my side. Not only is he able to pull a text apart and analyze the unspoken meanings behind every word, but he is able to get me—the student—to accomplish that as well. He always re-assures me that I am never “wrong” when it comes to my ideas. He encourages me to commit to whatever choices I see fit. I’ve always felt working with Aaron was a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable space. In the past, that was hard for me to truly find with other coaches. Whenever I work with him, the time flies by as if we are just two friends in a studio together. However, he has a phenomenal sense of professionalism. He has been extremely hands-on and dedicated to helping me grow through different exercises and techniques. If my making a break through with a monologue required for Aaron to jump around a room screaming like a crazy person, he would do it. He’s the type of coach to get 100% mentally and physically involved in a student’s progress. Aaron has helped me become so much more confident about myself as an overall performer. I highly recommend working with and spending time with him. He is amazingly down to earth, hilarious, talented, and well trained, and I cannot even imagine where I would be in my college audition process without him."

"Bubba knows his dance. When he dances he does cool moves that catch your eye. And if you watch him closely you see that he hits beats you probably didn't
even know were in the song. This is just one thing that separates Bubba from the rest. Bubba is also very passionate about dance and has put countless hours and hard work into it. He is very respectful, kind, and trustworthy, and is someone I feel comfortable with being in my home. Bubba is able to take this talent he has and help others build their talent. He a very good teacher and can see the little things you need to do different to make the move look the way it was intended. He is very patient and encouraging. He also knows that everyone is unique, and has their own style and characteristics in their dance. He works with that very well and helps you become your best."

I performed professionally for 15 years: as a wedding singer, on tour as a backup singer, in a musical at Carnegie Hall, with a big band at the Rainbow Room, at the Bitter End debuting my CD of original music, as a house studio vocalist for a NYC recording studio, and more. I have tons of great references available!

Carey is currently working with our 9yo daughter. She has built a wonderful rapport, is very patient, and has helped our daughter's interest in music blossom into full fruition. It's truly wonderful to see our daughter having fun doing something she loves, and it takes a special teacher to make that happen with kids. Highly recommend.
I have been teaching in different capacities for 30 years. I have two 60 credit Masters in Music in Jazz Performance and in Composition. I lived in Europe for 16 years where I performed with my ense
mble in Germany, Russia and the United States. Upon my return, I did my graduate schooling and became a music teacher. I taught in Westport, Ct, at Oakwood Friends School in Poughkeepsie and in the New York City Department of Education. I have led many a Chorus and have taught Strings and Band. There is nothing I love more than seeing my students grow through their study of music. I have seen children develop in so many ways! They grew in self-worth as well as academically and I saw them maturing into fine human beings.
I have seen my own enthusiasm for learning and discovery transmitted to my students. I believe that music affects the whole person and that each student is unique. I have given workshops in Multiple Intelligence and will tailor the lessons to the students best learning capabilities. Most of all, it will be fun!
*** Lesson Details *** First of all I will share with the student that music is a language and with this language one can express one's innermost self. It's so much fun to "crack the code" and learn to "speak" in music. The first lesson will be spent in sharing a bit about ourselves as we will be working together to reach the student's goals.
We will talk about the instrument be it voice, piano or another instrument and I will try to communicate the level of respect one must have for their instrument. That it is one of their best friends. We will always have fun, but it should be clear that this is a journey of discovery and each step will bring the student closer to his/her goal so there should be a willingness and a commitment to give to this goal. Practice will be strongly encouraged. I will help them create a practice schedule and give them assignments. After 3-6 months, they will have learned to sing/play while reading, but they also will have learned to compose and create new pieces of music. I find that this keeps the enthusiasm alive as well as helping them grow enormously as a musician.
*** Travel Equipment *** I expect my students to have an instrument and a music stand. I can arrange to acquire the instructional booklets when needed
My name is Natasha and I am a certified tutor in reading, math, writing, language and grammar just to name a few subjects. I enjoy helping and watching children gain confidence in areas that were onc
e a challenge. I make learning fun and comprehensive, but most of all memorable. I promise you won't be disappointed. I also enjoy giving acting lessons because it broadens your versatility and hones in on skills that are sometimes suppressed. Acting pushes you to think, perform, project, engage and entertain and I absolutely love it and you will too.

About Improv: Improv is a form of theater where everything is made up on the spot. Nothing is scripted, everything is made up in the moment using suggestions from the audience.
About Christine Al
exander: I am committed to providing a safe and courageous place for people to have fun and play. I have been performing since 2001 and in 2003 began directing students from ages 5 to 84. My passion is to share the incredible art form of improv with excitement and humor.
Improv is a great learning tool for team building, spontaneity, listening, being present, speaking to groups, communicating one on one, saying yes and so much more. It helps that each game played builds upon the next to reinforce the learning.
Improvisers fail forward. We embrace "failure" because we have found a stepping stone. A stepping stone we want to remember not to step on again. We have to fail in order to succeed.
What you get: One-on-One - 1 hour of discussion / rehearsal with Christine - working on improv performance skills or personal communication skills. At the end of the session, you will be armed with new tools to face the issues you are having.
Improv Troupe Notes - 1 hour - for improv troupes needing an outside eye for notes, direction and ideas for marketing your troupe. At the end of the session, you will have new games and ideas to move your troupe forward.
Custom Course - 1 hour or weekly - Tell me what you would like to improve. Character choices? Initiations? Storyline? You tell me.
Improv empowers people. Let's empower each other. Call me today. ;)

Christine is an incredible teacher, wonderful person, and a great actor. She's fun, positive, creative and extremely talented. I've taken a beginner's improv class with her, and she really helped me overcome my natural shyness. SWFL is very lucky to have such a shining star!
