"LK was great. She took me through several exercises, then gave me homework to do for my next class. She made me feel very comfortable. The reason I was wa

Please let me know if you think this is the best class to take if I try to pursue Theater Acting, or Film Acting in the future. Thank You, Laura Boys RPH"

"I first took group tap class with Miki where adult students ranged from total beginners to advanced dancers who wanted to sharpen their skills. She choreo
graphed innovative dances that could be performed on several levels, plus created an atmosphere where we felt comfortable demonstrating steps individually to show what we'd learned. When a new student started class, she was flexible enough to tailor the night's class to include him or her. I also took private classes to practice our dance for a street performance.
When the group class ended, I began regular private classes. Because of her creative choreography and interesting music choices, it's great fun to practice even basic steps."

Popular Performing Arts Teachers Near Paradise Valley
Hello everyone! I've been singing since the age of 3 and performing since the age of 6. I am not only an experienced music teacher with a passion for music and teaching, but an experienced performer, and songwriter. I started performing at a young age with the Columbia School of Theatrical Arts, and as I grew older I studied different techniques such as speech level singing, classical, and even techniques from Brett Manning, one of the most amazing vocal coaches today who teaches artists such as Haley Williams from Paramore. I have experience performing many styles of music, and also was a voi
ce major in college. The students I teach will benefit from my contemporary techniques, and can learn to sing in almost any style of music they choose.
*** Lesson Details *** Do you want to learn how to sing your favorite song just like the artist? I can teach you the techniques! Or how about how to make a cover song your own based off of your own unique voice? We can work together to find, develop, and build the amazing qualities that you have in your voice. I will not only work on aspects of what you would like to improve on with your voice personally, but I will make an individual plan for you that will dramatically improve your voice! I will work with you individually to strengthen any weakness you may have in a fun environment. I am fun, encouraging and motivating! When asking students to do any vocal exercises, I will explain what the certain exercise does to improve your voice so that you can have the knowledge you need to be a good vocalist, and not just know how to sing properly. You will learn many things in lessons and what I teach you will vary on where you are vocally.
*** Travel Equipment *** I can provide a keyboard, CD, Boom box, music sheets, etc. Students do not need to provide anything.
*** Specialties *** Speech level singing method, classical techniques, singing success, various genres including: pop, blues, contemporary, and musical theatre. I utilize the different techniques I have learned through proper classical training, but mix it with contemporary methods I have learned from speech level singing methods.

Lynzi has been giving me lessons since August and I have improved a lot. When I started with her I was struggling with rhythm and tempo but once we started she made everything seem so easy. She explains everything so well and makes sure you understand. I have had many piano teachers but Lynzi has been the best piano teacher that I have had so far. Lynzi cares about the lesson and the person taking it.

As an older student with some musical experience, Lynzi did a great job of targeting what I need to work on to improve my voice. I've got exercises to work with at home and I'm excited for my second lesson. I was nervous for all of about 2 seconds; Lynzi quickly put me at ease.

Lynzi is so patient with my daughter and brings out her natural talent and confidence. We absolutely love her!
As the owner and principal instructor at Studio D - Dance & Voice, my goal is to provide a positive, enjoyable learning experience for all of my students.
My background includes dance (teaching, performance and competition), commercial acting, singing, modeling, and radio/TV experience. My talent resume is available upon request. I have been on network TV and I've been a national media spokesperson for a major US corporation. I'm represented by one of the top talent agencies here in Arizona and I have worked extensively in Los Angeles.
the following individual and group classes:
- BELLY DANCE: Beginning and Intermediate (mainly cabaret style, including zils, veils, scarves, veils, and fan veils). We also dance a wide variety of belly dance, Oriental, and fusion dances - something for everyone!
Interested in performing? Then you'll definitely want to join my belly dance performance troupe. I'm always looking for committed dancers who want to learn choreography and performance techniques. We perform at various venues around the Valley.
- BALLROOM: (including Latin, Swing, Smooth, and Club dances)
For ballroom classes, both couples and individuals are welcome - no partner is required. I work with students who are serious about learning how to dance, and who want to learn proper technique in addition to dance figures. I'm especially interested in working with dancers who are considering competitions and performance. I absolutely love choreographing routines for my student dancers!
I teach at one of the largest studios in the valley - we have plenty of room to move and explore the various dances you want to learn.
For couples planning their wedding, I can help you choreograph and rehearse an enjoyable wedding dance that you and your guests will remember for a lifetime.
Having a party? I offer group lessons and performances (ballroom and belly dance) for special occasions at your location.
I'm looking forward to helping you become the dancer you want to be!

DANCE LESSON INFORMATION:
There are a few rules of dance etiquette that any reputable instructor will ask you to follow:
- Please come dressed appropriately. My studio maintains a dress code, so please arrive in appropriate dance attire. Belly dancers may wear yoga pants and athletic tops (belly dance skirts are also perfect). I can provide coin belts and practice veils.
- While in belly dancing we dance barefooted, ballroom dancing does require special shoes. These are highly recommended. Please note that sneakers are discouraged (rubber soles will stick to the floor and impede your movement). If you want to try a lesson or two in regular shoes, that's fine. Just be sure to wear shoes with a leather sole.
- Please arrive 5 minutes prior to your lesson so that you are ready to go when your lesson time begins. If you arrive late, you will forfeit that time.
- Cancellations require a 24-hour notice. This policy allows us to offer your lesson time to another student.
Most important, lesson times are all about YOU. Each lesson will continually build on your knowledge and skills. Your dance instruction will be customized just for you, your skill level, and your goals.
***Accessories and Props***
- Belly dance: I can provide coin belts and practice veils. For more advanced students, I would ask them to purchase their own props and costumes.
- Ballroom dance: Students will need a pair of appropriate ballroom dance shoes (recommended, but not required initially).
- Acting, voice, and modeling: No special items are necessary.

Ballroom Dance ·
Debra is a great instructor for dancing. I've studied with her for many hours and found her teaching to be pleasant, easy to understand, and right to the point; she helped me turn my two left feet into ones that can dance.
The nice thing is that with her background in television, P.R. and how to present a good image, and she has taught me to be more confident and comfortable with my dancing. As a guy, that means a lot!
I highly recommend Debra for anyone wanting to learn the fine art of dance.

My name is Larry, and I was born and raised in Chicago and now call the Phoenix, AZ metro area home. I have two Master's Degrees in Education (Higher Ed. and Teaching and Learning with Technology), and am working on another M.A. currently in History. I have a tutoring business of my own, working with excellent education partners like Takelessons.
My tutoring business is geared towards middle, high school, and college students, and my sp
ecialization is geared in three arenas:
1) The Humanities: History (U.S., European, Oriental, and World), English, Literature (with a special passion for all things Shakespeare), and Social Studies (including American Government and Political Science).
2) Papers: Research papers (and how to do the research for them), essays, creative writing - everything to do with papers you ever wanted to know.
3) Drama (the Theatre kind of drama, not life drama): Acting, directing, staging, analysis, including the aforementioned Will Shakespeare.
***My Promise to You***
I will treat you like an individual - that means that we'll find out how YOU learn best, and we'll work that way. I don't teach "to the test", I don't teach memorization. I teach by asking and answering questions, as well as providing information.
***My Expectation of You***
That you will come with an open mind, come with questions, come with not just the willingness to learn and have fun, but the expectation to do both.
*The Humanities* The reason so many people go screaming into the night when confronted with lessons in things like history, or government, or English for that matter, are all the names and dates to memorize. I don't teach that way. We begin with things you want (or need) to know. From there, we cover how those things affected other things, It's a huge world out there, and how we got here from where we started is a wonderful and complicated trip. History doesn't happen in a vacuum, and we learn who we are by knowing where we come from.
*Papers* Obviously I won't write your paper for you, but I will show you how and where to start your research (and how to sort it as well). I will also proof-read for grammar and/or organizational errors and show you how to structure it in general terms.
*Drama* I have acted, I have directed. From the community to professional levels. We will talk about character creation, about staging, about working with your director as well as your fellow actors. We will mostly brainstorm, and you will be able to experiment in vision as well as technique.

We have very lively discussions which are less like lectures and more like questions and answers. Since Larry is very knowledgeable, he is flexible in where we take our lessons. We've started with Classic Greek but we've also delved into other periods. This makes it quite enjoyable, since it's nice to be able to bounce around at times.

Hi, there! My name is Corinne and I can't wait to meet you! I have had the pleasure of learning poi tricks, fire eating as well as fire breathing from Corrine within the last year. She has a wide range of prop knowledge which was extremely beneficial for me, being a hula hooper she was able to explain a poi trick using hula hoop terminology. One of my favorite things Corrine does is teach the importance of fire safety, before learning any new prop she will go over the DOs & DONTs, Corrine has a very strong passion for that. Each lesson I walk away with new crowd pleasing tricks under my sleeve! Corrine is very patient & has the ability to simplify a trick & break it down so that any mind at any pace can learn. I have been a flow artist for 7 years now & have gone to many flow classes that fail in comparison, I would highly recommend Corrine to anyone!!
