"I am so grateful for having Salit as my belly dance teacher. She challenges me and teaches me new ways of dancing. She also has taught me important things
to remember; for example to take note in where my gaze is, the position of my arms, the relaxation of my face, and not to forget to breath! Working with Salit has helped me become a better dancer because she focuses on what I am good at, corrects my mistakes, and teaches me not only how to dance, but how to perform. I started working with Salit to become a better dancer and I am proud to say that I am, thanks to her."

Arguably one of the most dynamic emerging vocal producers and songwriters to penetrate the music industry, “Candy” offers a brave, but fresh take on life through song. A native of Washington D.C., Candy studied and performed with the esteemed Washington Performing Arts Society for 7 years and graduated from Howard University with a Bachelors in Fine Arts. She has also trained and studied at the home of Seth Riggs in Los Angeles, which afforded her years of solid experience with Speech Level Singing (SLS), a widely-popular technique created by Seth Riggs and used to coach clients like Michael J
ackson, Beyonce', and many others. She's advanced through over 4 years of professional training and performing in Theatre Arts and has also crafted an acclaimed approach to Broadway music and acting for the stage.
Candy is practiced and has worked alongside some of the industry's best as a writer, studio coach and vocal producer. Her clientele includes a growing list of popular performers and producers across the national borders. With a range that spans several genres, it is increasingly easy to see why her buzz is continually growing. Candy has already worked with some of the most respected names in music including Rich Harrison (Crazy In Love-Beyonce, No One Gonna Love You-Jennifer Hudson), Jazze Pha (Ciara, Cee Lo, T.I.), and James “Big Jim” Wright (Yolanda Adams, Chaka Khan, Mariah Carey, Michael Jackson), having also caught the attention of Missy Elliot and Swizz Beats. The list continues to expand. A 4.0 graduate and well-versed professional, her value is irrefutable.
*** Lesson Details *** My approach is student specific. Everyone does not respond to the same teaching style. I will assess where you are vs where you aspire to be and together, we will formulate a plan to get you there. In 3-6 months, the biggest thing you will walk away with is the confidence to explore and perform to your greatest potential, and the understanding that it will grow with you as you do. I am offering methods I've benefited from and acquired across multiple genres of music, each having heavily impacted the other. I am also an advocate for hands on learning! Let's dig in and get to it! Let's also record your lessons on my Protools set up so that you forever have a point of reference.
*** Studio Equipment *** Living room set up.
*** Travel Equipment *** I expect them to have the ability to take notes in a way that works for them (hand-held recorder, pen & paper/laptop, etc). They should also provide material they would like to focus on or I can provide as well, once discussed.
*** Specialties *** I gear toward a focus of bringing the student into the moment/lesson and the artist into the performance. It is my goal in every aspect of teaching to help my students find truths to which they can relate and live honestly within. Finding a relatable link between them and the content of the lesson has made all the difference in my learning and teaching experience. I believe honing in on that honesty to be the key to an exceptionally developed craft. My style is defined by the ability to experience each new moment in the now, as you are. In doing so, you open yourself up and become readily available to internalize the nuances of your learning process.

Candace is amazing! I came to her wanting to learn the fundamentals of singing and she has gone far beyond my expectations. She is patient, and truly believes in me even when I feel as if I cannot do it. She is the best teacher I have ever come across and I couldn't ask for anything better!

She is amazing!
I came into this searching for somebody whom I thought could get me to the skill level that I so desperately desire. So far Candice has done a phenomenal job of laying the foundation of my technique in a way that I am having fun and seeing results. After 4 weeks of lessons I could not imagine working with anyone else!

My Lessons with Ms. C Changed Everything
All I knew when I first started was that I wanted to be famous. She helped me to identify my goals and she literally put me on a path to reach them. My confidence was definitely boosted because we attacked every insecurity head on and now there aren't any. I also learned how to process and use my nervous energy working with her. She's amazing! I've had lessons with some teachers who were a bit stiffer but we really went in deep and it was exactly what I needed.
I am an international recording artist and seasoned performer. I have been playing music since the early age of 8 yrs old. I have always been inspired by music and love to inspire others with music. Some of my accomplishments include putting an album out with Universal Records as a Nashville recording artist, having over 7 albums out internationally, and recording and playing with some of the biggest names in the music industry. I am a classically trained musician as well as an innovative and experienced teacher. I have been teaching for over 15 years and have seen many of my students go on to
become top-notch performers themselves while pursuing successful careers in music. In addition to being a private music teacher, I have also taught at many schools in the valley including the Center for Educational Excellence School, Grand Canyon Preparatory private charter school and the Arizona Music Academy. I teach all levels of guitar, bass, and drums and tailor every lesson to the individual student’s needs and personality. My annual recitals are live-performance concerts featuring bands and other performing groups formed from among my students along with solo performances. My students also perform regularly throughout the community and are successful in their musical endeavors at all ages. I teach a wide range of genres and styles from classical music, blues, jazz and rock to heavy metal with an emphasis on becoming A-Level lead guitar soloists and song writers. I teach songwriting skills, music theory, and have even helped many of my guitar students be able to sing better while learning their main instrument.
*** Lesson Details *** I make my lessons fun and informative and have had many students stay with me for up to 7 years. I show you everything you will ever need to know about music theory but in a very useful applicable way. I teach popular songs from any artist and classics that have stood the test of time and show you how to become a great song writer of your own giving you an insider’s knowledge about how to perform and have the audience standing asking for more. No matter if you want to become a pro lead guitar player or just play to have fun I can show you how to sing and play the guitar or piano at the same time or singing songs from church as well as your favorite rock or pop songs with confidence.
*** Travel Equipment *** Just my own guitar and amp they need their own equipment.
*** Specialties *** Classical, flamenco, rock, heavy metal guitar. I have also developed new classical guitar techniques that I call the "trem" stroke and the "harpeggio"

Very comfortable. Has great ability to adapt to individual growth rate.
*** Travel Equipment *** Books. Students must have their own instrument (keyboards are acceptable for taking piano lessons). I always council students on brand, quality of instrument they are purchasing before they buy it.
*** Specialties *** I have been a public school music educator for over 20 years, and have taught band, orchestra, and choir which enables me to teach many instruments and voice. I also have been a language and reading tutor for over 6 years and have worked with students with special needs for over 10 years. I studied classical guitar with master guitarist, Christo
pher Parkening, at Montana State University where I graduated with a B.M.E. I also did graduate work at MSU in composition. I teach Suzuki piano and violin. I am an accomplished composer/songwriter with many published and recorded songs and instrumental works through ASCAP. I endeavor to make learning fun, and enjoy teaching students of all ages!
Online student requirements: A fast, reliable COMPUTER; HIGH SPEED INTERNET (at least 400 kbps); SKYPE software; WEBCAM (preferably HD); MICROPHONE (most laptops or tablets have mikes built in). Be sure your camera is focused on you and your instrument, if applicable.

Hi, there! My name is Corinne and I can't wait to meet you! I've been teaching private lessons since 2008 and have loved helping my students gain an understanding of the flow arts, develop coordination with props, and learn to feel comfortable with dancing with props. I went to ASU and am currently working on getting my credentials as a certified veterinary specialist in emergency and critical care. I'm a very active and creative person and my teaching style is energetic, organized, as well as entertaining. I look forward to helping you reach your goals!

I have had the pleasure of learning poi tricks, fire eating as well as fire breathing from Corrine within the last year. She has a wide range of prop knowledge which was extremely beneficial for me, being a hula hooper she was able to explain a poi trick using hula hoop terminology. One of my favorite things Corrine does is teach the importance of fire safety, before learning any new prop she will go over the DOs & DONTs, Corrine has a very strong passion for that. Each lesson I walk away with new crowd pleasing tricks under my sleeve! Corrine is very patient & has the ability to simplify a trick & break it down so that any mind at any pace can learn. I have been a flow artist for 7 years now & have gone to many flow classes that fail in comparison, I would highly recommend Corrine to anyone!!

6 Mistakes Youre Making on Your Acting Resume
Professional actors often cant help but feel a little powerless when it comes to the process of auditioning and booking jobs.
