"My 10 year old daughter has been acting, singing and modeling and preparing for a big event this coming Summer. It was a total God thing meeting Connie an
d she gave my daughter an amazing opportunity to be an extra in a film she was Producing. When we found out that Connie gave private lessons we signed her up. Connie has a God given gift of encouragement, seeing potential in others and then drawing that out. My daughter is blossoming before my eyes. Connie's knowledge and experience in so many areas has also helped her with her singing and modeling. Connie has developed her confidence and her acting ability in just a short amount of time and she is really great with kids. I highly recommend her and give her 5 stars!"

"I've always considered myself to have very little rhythm and dancing was always uncomfortable for me, but I still wanted to impress my girlfriend with a f
ew dance moves for an upcoming wedding. Stephanie was very welcoming in her home with a small 3rd floor dance studio with skyline views; she was encouraging, patient and professional. After four one hour lessons, I was able to pick up a few simple dance moves that has given me more confidence to hit the floor. Thanks Stephanie!"

I am an international recording artist and seasoned performer. I have been playing music since the early age of 8 yrs old. I have always been inspired by music and love to inspire others with music. Some of my accomplishments include putting an album out with Universal Records as a Nashville recording artist, having over 7 albums out internationally, and recording and playing with some of the biggest names in the music industry. I am a classically trained musician as well as an innovative and experienced teacher. I have been teaching for over 15 years and have seen many of my students go on to
become top-notch performers themselves while pursuing successful careers in music. In addition to being a private music teacher, I have also taught at many schools in the valley including the Center for Educational Excellence School, Grand Canyon Preparatory private charter school and the Arizona Music Academy. I teach all levels of guitar, bass, and drums and tailor every lesson to the individual student’s needs and personality. My annual recitals are live-performance concerts featuring bands and other performing groups formed from among my students along with solo performances. My students also perform regularly throughout the community and are successful in their musical endeavors at all ages. I teach a wide range of genres and styles from classical music, blues, jazz and rock to heavy metal with an emphasis on becoming A-Level lead guitar soloists and song writers. I teach songwriting skills, music theory, and have even helped many of my guitar students be able to sing better while learning their main instrument.
*** Lesson Details *** I make my lessons fun and informative and have had many students stay with me for up to 7 years. I show you everything you will ever need to know about music theory but in a very useful applicable way. I teach popular songs from any artist and classics that have stood the test of time and show you how to become a great song writer of your own giving you an insider’s knowledge about how to perform and have the audience standing asking for more. No matter if you want to become a pro lead guitar player or just play to have fun I can show you how to sing and play the guitar or piano at the same time or singing songs from church as well as your favorite rock or pop songs with confidence.
*** Travel Equipment *** Just my own guitar and amp they need their own equipment.
*** Specialties *** Classical, flamenco, rock, heavy metal guitar. I have also developed new classical guitar techniques that I call the "trem" stroke and the "harpeggio"

Very comfortable. Has great ability to adapt to individual growth rate.
As the owner and principal instructor at Studio D - Dance & Voice, my goal is to provide a positive, enjoyable learning experience for all of my students.
My background includes dance (teaching, performance and competition), commercial acting, singing, modeling, and radio/TV experience. My talent resume is available upon request. I have been on network TV and I've been a national media spokesperson for a major US corporation. I'm represented by one of the top talent agencies here in Arizona and I have worked extensively in Los Angeles.
the following individual and group classes:
- BELLY DANCE: Beginning and Intermediate (mainly cabaret style, including zils, veils, scarves, veils, and fan veils). We also dance a wide variety of belly dance, Oriental, and fusion dances - something for everyone!
Interested in performing? Then you'll definitely want to join my belly dance performance troupe. I'm always looking for committed dancers who want to learn choreography and performance techniques. We perform at various venues around the Valley.
- BALLROOM: (including Latin, Swing, Smooth, and Club dances)
For ballroom classes, both couples and individuals are welcome - no partner is required. I work with students who are serious about learning how to dance, and who want to learn proper technique in addition to dance figures. I'm especially interested in working with dancers who are considering competitions and performance. I absolutely love choreographing routines for my student dancers!
I teach at one of the largest studios in the valley - we have plenty of room to move and explore the various dances you want to learn.
For couples planning their wedding, I can help you choreograph and rehearse an enjoyable wedding dance that you and your guests will remember for a lifetime.
Having a party? I offer group lessons and performances (ballroom and belly dance) for special occasions at your location.
I'm looking forward to helping you become the dancer you want to be!
ACTING / SINGING STUDENTS:
Please let me know your goals and interests and I will help you achieve them. I utilize a variety of different methods and techniques customized for each student. I have been acting and singing for over 20 years.
I teach all aspects of modeling, including print, runway, platform, tearoom and showroom. You will also learn about hair, make-up, auditions, fittings and the business of modeling. And, you will have the opportunity to work with a professional photographer to practice and build your portfolio.

DANCE LESSON INFORMATION:
There are a few rules of dance etiquette that any reputable instructor will ask you to follow:
- Please come dressed appropriately. My studio maintains a dress code, so please arrive in appropriate dance attire. Belly dancers may wear yoga pants and athletic tops (belly dance skirts are also perfect). I can provide coin belts and practice veils.
- While in belly dancing we dance barefooted, ballroom dancing does require special shoes. These are highly recommended. Please note that sneakers are discouraged (rubber soles will stick to the floor and impede your movement). If you want to try a lesson or two in regular shoes, that's fine. Just be sure to wear shoes with a leather sole.
- Please arrive 5 minutes prior to your lesson so that you are ready to go when your lesson time begins. If you arrive late, you will forfeit that time.
- Cancellations require a 24-hour notice. This policy allows us to offer your lesson time to another student.
Most important, lesson times are all about YOU. Each lesson will continually build on your knowledge and skills. Your dance instruction will be customized just for you, your skill level, and your goals.
***Accessories and Props***
- Belly dance: I can provide coin belts and practice veils. For more advanced students, I would ask them to purchase their own props and costumes.
- Ballroom dance: Students will need a pair of appropriate ballroom dance shoes (recommended, but not required initially).
- Acting, voice, and modeling: No special items are necessary.

Debra is a great instructor for dancing. I've studied with her for many hours and found her teaching to be pleasant, easy to understand, and right to the point; she helped me turn my two left feet into ones that can dance.
The nice thing is that with her background in television, P.R. and how to present a good image, and she has taught me to be more confident and comfortable with my dancing. As a guy, that means a lot!
I highly recommend Debra for anyone wanting to learn the fine art of dance.

My name is Larry, and I was born and raised in Chicago and now call the Phoenix, AZ metro area home. I have two Master's Degrees in Education (Higher Ed. and Teaching and Learning with Technology), and am working on another M.A. currently in History. I have a tutoring business of my own, working with excellent education partners like Takelessons.
My tutoring business is geared towards middle, high school, and college students, and my sp
ecialization is geared in three arenas:
1) The Humanities: History (U.S., European, Oriental, and World), English, Literature (with a special passion for all things Shakespeare), and Social Studies (including American Government and Political Science).
2) Papers: Research papers (and how to do the research for them), essays, creative writing - everything to do with papers you ever wanted to know.
3) Drama (the Theatre kind of drama, not life drama): Acting, directing, staging, analysis, including the aforementioned Will Shakespeare.
***My Promise to You***
I will treat you like an individual - that means that we'll find out how YOU learn best, and we'll work that way. I don't teach "to the test", I don't teach memorization. I teach by asking and answering questions, as well as providing information.
***My Expectation of You***
That you will come with an open mind, come with questions, come with not just the willingness to learn and have fun, but the expectation to do both.
*The Humanities* The reason so many people go screaming into the night when confronted with lessons in things like history, or government, or English for that matter, are all the names and dates to memorize. I don't teach that way. We begin with things you want (or need) to know. From there, we cover how those things affected other things, It's a huge world out there, and how we got here from where we started is a wonderful and complicated trip. History doesn't happen in a vacuum, and we learn who we are by knowing where we come from.
*Papers* Obviously I won't write your paper for you, but I will show you how and where to start your research (and how to sort it as well). I will also proof-read for grammar and/or organizational errors and show you how to structure it in general terms.
*Drama* I have acted, I have directed. From the community to professional levels. We will talk about character creation, about staging, about working with your director as well as your fellow actors. We will mostly brainstorm, and you will be able to experiment in vision as well as technique.

We have very lively discussions which are less like lectures and more like questions and answers. Since Larry is very knowledgeable, he is flexible in where we take our lessons. We've started with Classic Greek but we've also delved into other periods. This makes it quite enjoyable, since it's nice to be able to bounce around at times.
