Sharon H. Orlando, FL

I teach traditional violin fundamentals such as holding the instrument, basic sight reading, intonation, and basic theory. I primarily teach artistic expression that makes the fiddle art and improve different from violin studies on paper. Both are important, but in my experience, fiddle is more social and more fun.

About Sharon

Been playing the violin for over 40 yrs. Started in elementary school and held the coveted "Concert Master" designation all through high school. Been playing fiddle since 1985. Twenty years experience as a dance fiddler, and the last several years studying swing and traditional Irish. I play in three bands, all different genres. I consider myself so lucky to be blessed to be playing an instrument. It is one of the best kept secrets to life. This is a point I like to stress to my students. It enhances your mind, you can make wonderful friendships with like minded people, and constantly learn new tunes and genres. It just keeps you young at heart. I love spreading the Gospel of music.I consider myself so lucky to be blessed to be playing an instrument. It is one of the best kept secrets to

Nathan S. Davenport, FL

Fiddle is just another word to refer to a violin, but most people associate the fiddle with traditional bluegrass or country music.
Lessons for the Fiddle consist of learning songs that will strengthen a student's skills no matter what level they are at. Perfecting skills through the process of learning new and interesting songs allows the student to feel accomplished while becoming more advanced with each lesson. With a wide variety of music available, each student can take their own path once they learn the skills necessary to play their favorite style of music.

About Nathan

I have been playing the violin since I was 8 years old and teaching since I was 14. I am a graduate from East Tennessee State University with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and a minor in Bluegrass and Old Time Music Studies. By having 10 years of experience in violin and fiddle instruction, I have mastered playing as well as teaching individuals of all ages. As an instructor, my mission is to help all students grow and develop their mental and physical abilities in music as well as provide discipline and focus towards perfecting the art of violin performance and knowledge. My teaching involves students learning songs from a vast collection of Bluegrass, Country, Old-time, Celtic, Traditional Hymns, and Classical Music. While each musician has their own personal

Galen K. Casselberry, FL

Fiddle's just another style of playing the violin, but you have to do it right. I've been fiddling since I was 3, entered and won some competitions as a kid, and fiddled professionally for various events throughout college.

About Galen

Galen K. began his violin studies at the age of two. He attended various summer festivals and music camps throughout his youth, including Interlochen, Eastern Music Festival, and Bowdoin Summer Music Festival. He earned a Bachelor of Music from the Crane School of Music in upstate New York, a Master of Arts in Violin from Indiana University, and a Doctor of Music in Strings from Florida State University. He performs comfortably in any style it's possible to fit a violin into, and currently holds positions in the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra and Southwest Florida Symphony Orchestra.
