Singing
Cares about her students

I just wanted to take the time to say Thank you for allowing my child the opportunity to sing the solo between productions. I think she did a great job and it allowed her to experience what it feels like to sing/perform in front of a large group.
You are a fantastic teacher and I am glad we found you!

Great vocal coach!

From the first moment I started retraining my voice with her, singing has become a joy again. Her teaching skills are seamless, her personality a delight. With her use of visualization and exercises she inspires confidence, and after a few weeks I am improving more than I have in years!

When I first began my singing journey with Jessica about two months ago I was insecure about my voice but I knew that singing was something that made me feel good inside. Jessica gave me confidence and assessed my strengths and weaknesses. Each session she continuously analyzes my abilities and range in my voice. She clearly explains the purpose of the exercises that we do so that I can see a bigger picture which always gives me more inspiration to never give up and believe in myself and my abilities as an aspiring artist. She took time to get to know me personally and understand my goals. She is fun and her energy is beautiful. She took interest in me as a writer and during our sessions we also explore my songs and what I could do with them. So overall I rated her 5 stars because she truly deserves it! Not only will I continue with her but I will also be privileged to have her coach my son who loves music/instruments. Thank you Jessica for having me :)

Michael Chekhov Technique:
Often in the process of creating a character for stage or film we get lost in the design of the role or the analysis of the text; what we have decided to do does not make its way into the actual performance. Michael Chekhov’s technique provides you the tools to bring your choices to life, allowing your work to become clear, vibrant, and powerful. From the creation of authentic emotion, to deepening objectives and intentions, to clarifying gestures and actions, Michael Chekhov’s imaginative and effective tools will inspire you towards consistent peak performance. Utilized by actors on stage or on camera, Anthony Hopkins, Johnny Depp, Marilyn Monroe, Gregory Peck, and Beatrice Straight are just a few of the actors who regularly use (or used) Michael Chekhov’s Technique. From Archetypal Gesture, to the Four Brothers of Art, to Leading Center and Psychological Gesture, Chekhov's tools will be explored and applied in an adventurous, dynamic, and powerful forum.

Public Speaking · In studio
Though I have had success as a field developer in Network Marketing, I was terrified of public speaking. I constantly denied appearances on stage knowing it was important for my team to see me being recognized publicly. I contacted Joe for help in that area and I was very pleased with the professionalism, knowledge and patience. I find myself speaking and teaching now on stage and my confidence level is up to the roof. I continue to use and practice what he taught me before going on stage to this day. I am forever grateful.

Joe was an absolutely phenomenal teacher. He is well versed in Chekov and his lessons we're incredibly well constructed and really helped me to grasp the new concepts he was teaching. He was an excellent instructor for both new and experienced actors, and set his workshops at a pace that benefitted all experience levels. I truly feel his lessons have helped me to grow as an actor and I am very grateful for all that he taught me. I cannot recommend him highly enough.

Mr. Joe has been a great inspiration to my 11 year old son Zach. His patience with kids and knowledge of acting allow the classes to run smoothly. In a little over a year Joe has taught him many skills from stage combat, dance choreography, singing, to monologues. These skills have not only helped my son gain parts in the school plays but have helped boost his confidence. Joe has been a true gift to my son and I am very happy that he has a been a great start to Zach's journey.
Ivelisse A. Orlando, FL

I love acting! It is for me one of the best activities.
I will not per se use a curriculum. I will use the current play the student is on and help him/her improve their performance. My goal is to allow the student to feel confident in their role whether they use method acting or straight on acting.
My style coincides with my goal and that is to instill confidence.

About Ivelisse

I have been teaching primarily preschoolers and children who homeschool for the past 9 years. I am most comfortable with subjects such as Bible Studies, Religious studies since I have also been a youth pastor for over 15 years. I can however teach Language Arts and History as well since both are passions of mine. I also am good at helping in the Performing Arts since I have been a part of the Performing Arts community as well. I am currently finishing my teaching degree and hope to be able to help more once I have that degree.

Scott K. Orlando, FL

Will help you prepare for auditions, monologues and preparing for shows.

I studied with Mr.Scott and his partner Mrs.Adrienne for about a year and a half and during that time I learned continuously about correct breathing, training my voice, and overall performance. The lessons were informative, fun, and the time I spent there was invaluable. I now perform at a higher level, receive better roles, and enjoy singing more than I did before. Thanks so much Scott and Adrienne.

Keep it simple! Acting isn't hard. My job is to get the performer out of his or her way and let the scene happen as it's supposed to. Whether it's acting, hosting, or even public speaking, it's all a performance.

Aside from working in the business, I've been teaching acting and hosting for over ten years. I use a mixture of the Meisner technique for the base of most of my lessons.

Everyone I teach comes away with a better perspective of their own body and voice and how to use them.

About Lance

Hi! I'm Lance. I've been a professional host/actor for over 15 years. I got my start in this business by taking classes just like this! I was the face of CMT for almost a decade, hosting a variety of shows. I later anchored the nationally syndicated morning show The Daily Buzz. I've also been featured in lead and supporting roles from music videos to television to big-screen film. Although I still work as talent, I love more than anything teaching others how to discover their own talent and voice. From children to adults to even those with special needs (I was raised with a sibling with special needs) I'm very good at helping people grow as performers. I teach acting by incorporating much of the Meisner technique, in which I was trained, as well as various other methods of ...
