Positions Held - Director/Teacher at SK Piano Academy, Associate Instructor of Piano at Indiana University, Staff Accompanist at New York Summer Music Festival,
I've been teaching piano for over a decade now. My goal as a piano teacher is to train your fingers as an athlete trains for his sport. It's all about technique and control if you want to learn to be a great piano player and musician. I will use my own set of worksheets along with lesson books (Alfred and Bastien series) to supplement the lessons. Of course, I will adapt to the student according to what he or she is interested in most. Maybe you like classical - maybe you like pop music - maybe you like rock songs. Any song you want to learn we can explore it together.
Especially enjoy young children!
I tailor-fit each lesson to you, staying away from traditional 'one-size fits all' teaching methods and instead focus on developing each student based on their own needs (even if you just want to play for fun). My method will enable you to communicate ideas musically that you hear in today's most popular songs and styles. Within the first few weeks of lessons, you will go from learning basic theory to composing and performing your own songs as well as your favorites from other artists!
Compare hundreds of teachers based on the criteria that matter to you, including background checks, age and experience.
When you've found the perfect match, schedule your lessons online using the teacher's real-time availability.
Your teacher will welcome you with a personalized curriculum to meet your specific goals and you'll be able to manage your entire schedule through our free online account.
Zero travel time is great for a busy schedule.
Typically priced lower than local lessons.
Online students stick with lessons as long as local students.
