I can teach to play by reading sheet music and/or by ear (which means to play music without needing the sheet music in front of you)
All Levels are welcome
The piano is the king of instruments. Steven B is one of the best instructors out there. He teaches in students’ homes across the United States as easily as in the Coronado Music Studio. For 30 years, he has successfully taught hundreds of students. Provide teaching at all levels. Most ages. Complete beginners are welcome. He combines methods of reading music, playing by ear, and improvisation... And this work wonders for his piano students. They play with confidence, feeling, and great interpretation! Students may learn classical, jazz, pop, blues, as well as other genres. Steven B may be the only teacher out there who uses his recording studio in producing recordings to assist his piano students in the learning process. Prepare to learn and have a lot of fun!

I teach Beginner piano only. Students are required to own at least an electric keyboard, which is what I currently teach from. These lessons are great for children, or adults with the desire to learn from scratch. The student will learn to read music in the bass and treble clef. She or he will also learn to play with proper finger placement and technique.
I teach out of various books, depending on age, and learning abilities. Some books incorporate singing along with playing the piano, and I will also focus on proper singing technique. I find that the piano helps develop the ear in a great way, which eventually helps with singing if that's something they chose to explore in the future.
Once the student reaches a certain point in his/her lessons I will gladly refer them to a list of teachers whose expertise and credibility I trust.
***I currently only teach from my home studio. If you prefer In Home lessons, you must choose 45 minute or 1 Hour lessons. A travel fee will ...
