Teaching Vocals for over 10 years in both public schools and in private coachings, this is my favorite to teach. Not only do I trained the students to become singers but musicians as well. To work with bands or other cast members of a show, To prep for an audition and maintain a stage presence. They will gain confidence in not only in Singing but in themselves as well.

For student's interested in coming to my Teacher's studio or online lessons you get a copy of your lesson so you can see yourself improving and a free copy of my warm-up CD! CHECK OUT MY PROFILE FOR VIDEOS ON SINGING TIPS!

About Rosita
I have been singing and studying voice for over 23 years since I was a child! I hold a Bachelors from Musicians Institute and other accomplished degrees from American Musical Dramatic Academy to conclude my quest for vocal excellence and the ability to sing in multiple languages ( English, Spanish, Japanese and Italian) I have been lucky enough to study with some of the top teachers in the country and now I bring the experience I have gained directly to you!
I am proud to share my student's vast array of musical successes. From being cast on short anime films and musicals to being accepted in
to prestigious performing arts academies to conquering the Karaoke scene. My passion for multiple languages and love of music is the desire driving me to share the gifts for teaching young children to open the door to their own musical abilities and hidden artistic desires. I am currently writing a musical which will be debuting in 2020. I'm currently the vocal coach and choir director at Iglesia Elim Central.

I will make sure my students have fun and help them get in the right track to their musical goals.

Also, I constantly upload videos on Singing, The Spanish Language, and Japanese! So keep Checking in! It ranges on tips and answering the most common questions on those particular subjects!

*** Lesson Details ***
I do my absolute best to create a positive atmosphere for my students. Even when the students feel frustrated or stressed, it is important to inspire them and give them the fuel that they need. Though I am strict when it comes to homework and their about their studies. Every lesson at the beginning I will review what we learned previously and test them.
then begin with proper breathing technique exercises, the cornerstone of all vocals. We move on to vocal exercises to condition the voice. Then we work on the songs that you are eager to sing!

I will use a piano when doing vocal warm ups and conditioning exercises. Students that play other instruments and accompany themselves when performing (such as a guitar) are encouraged to bring that instrument to their lessons. My goal is for them to gain the knowledge that they need to help reach their artistic goals.
With all my lessons every student will be taught a basic run down of Music Theory. My students will always progress in what they do. They will have the discipline that they need and yet have fun and be filled with inspiration. Which is the most important thing, to be Inspired to do better.

*** Studio Equipment ***
iMac, condensing mic...performing mic, keyboard, mixer...living room of apartment.

*** Travel Equipment ***
I do have a portable keyboard. Though I do expect the student to have their own recording device and karaoke tracks. At Home I do have a studio, and if the students has an iPod or an Mp3 player I can attach it to a device where all of us can hear the tracks. I do have a recording studio as well.

*** Specialties ***
I specialize in Musical Theatre, and Pop rock genres. When I teach my students I always have them learn a song of another language whether it's Spanish or Japanese. It helps with diction when they learn a song outside the English Language. Also It helps them to learn another Language at the same time. Also I give them a little anatomy class when they are learning how to sing. I give them a model of the vocal Chords and different areas of the Larynx and which part works for the chest voice and the head voice.

I believe in healthy singing and finding the type of music that best suits your voice! I am a classically trained singer, but most of my students sing musical theater and popular repertoire. Many of my students audition for shows, and I love helping them find auditions, pick out appropriate repertoire, and prepare for auditions. I also have many students who just enjoy singing and want to improve their technique.

About Belinda
I have been teaching voice and piano since 2010, and I love sharing music with others! I am available for in-home and online lessons, and I teach a variety of styles for both voice and piano. My higher education studies are in vocal performance with a focus on classical music, opera, and art song, but a lot of my vocal students work on musical theater and popular repertoire. My piano students also play a variety of styles, and I teach many to play and sing at the same time!

I treat every student with respect, and I truly enjoy getting to know them as well. I like to have fun in my lessons,
but I also have years of training and musical knowledge to impart to my students. I am well versed in vocal pedagogy (the science of vocal production), and I use this education to promote healthy singing! I received my Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance at Boston University and my Master of Music and Doctorate of Music in Vocal Performance at Arizona State University.

My 12 year old daughter is loving her singing lessons with Belinda. She is always so excited to go to her lessons and always leaves with a smile on her face. My daughter is wanting to do some musical theater auditions in the near future, and Belinda is helping her find and prepare for the auditions. We are so glad we found Belinda!

I have been singing my entire life, but I really wanted to learn a more classical technique. I am so glad I am taking lessons with Belinda! She is so knowledgable about the voice, and she makes sure that I feel comfortable with the singing sounds that I make. I think the classical technique also improves my singing when I sing non-classical songs.

Having sung and performed many different styles of singing, I have a unique understanding of how the voice works and what it needs to grow. In lessons I focus on specific exercises that strengthen the voice and develop breath support. I teach my students how to expand their range and release any physical tension that is getting in the way of healthy singing. We then apply this technique to the student's repertoire. I let my students sing a wide variety of repertoire, encouraging them to let their passions guide the repertoire we work on in lessons.

About Emily
I teach to help people find their inner rock star. Everyone can sing! But for many people, fear is an obstacle. I know firsthand how much courage it takes to stand up and sing. I teach to help others experience the same healing I have experienced through music. My approach to singing is informed by my education and years of performance experience. I teach my students how to embrace their fears and move through them to the other side. I also facilitate a supportive student/teacher relationship based upon mutual respect and kindness. Most importantly, I encourage my students to trust themselves
and their innate musical gifts. This develops their self confidence and ultimately leads them to their purest, most authentic sound.

I lived and breathed music and singing throughout my childhood, and I continue to today. I have over fifteen years of classical music training and performance experience. I attended California State University Northridge where I studied classical voice, art song, and opera performance. Since attaining my Bachelor of Music in Vocal Arts I have performed opera and musical theatre professionally across Los Angeles. I have since left opera performance to focus on my true musical passions: pop, R&B, jazz, musical theatre, and teaching.

**Lesson Details**
I tailor my teaching to each student's needs and desires. I teach all levels of singing, child to adult, beginner to advanced. If you are a beginner, I will quickly help you understand and access your instrument. If you are a more experienced singer, I will help you identify your opportunities for growth and we start from there. I focus on releasing tension and building a strong core foundation. You will learn how to develop consistent breath control, expand your range, and grow your voice into a powerful and beautiful sound!

**Studio Equipment**
Piano
Acoustic guitar
Music stand
ZoomH2 microphone and recording device
Musical theater/classical singer library

**Specialties**
I teach the same technique for all styles of singing - pop, R&B, jazz, gospel, musical theatre, and classical. I help my students make minor changes for each style, but the core foundational technique remains the same. I specialize in breath support, vocal chord closure, range expansion, vocal register negotiation, body alignment, relieving tension, healthy belting, emotional support, and acting for singers.

The most important aspect of vocal training that I will emphasize is breath support. Connecting to the body when singing will ensure vocal protection and prevent unwanted vocal strain. I will also focus on gaining control through scales and breathing. I would like my students to gain consistency in their lessons each week by providing them with new challenges and helping them to gain new tools when practicing. Applying these fundamental elements of healthy singing into each student's repertoire is the ultimate goal in these lessons.

About Christina
My name is Christina and I am very passionate about the vocal arts, specifically Opera. Opera was a surprise in my life that I discovered in college. It moved me to a point where I knew it was what I wanted to pursue. Though singing classically takes great patience, discipline, and perseverance, that 5 minutes on stage projecting pure vocal freedom and expression make it well worth it. The classical technique can provide a great foundation to healthy singing, which can ensure a long vocal life.
Along side opera, I believe basic knowledge in piano is extremely beneficial in improving musicali
ty and an understanding of each piece. Piano greatly improves sight reading and ones ability to learn music quickly and efficiently. It can allow one to develop an understanding of harmony and context within each unique piece of music.
I have recently started teaching and would love to help and guide those interested in music, specifically classical voice, opera, musical theater, and piano. I would love to share the great joy it brings me with others and pass down what I have learned over the years. I have completed courses in music pedagogy and education alongside my degree, and believe in shaping my lessons around each individual's learning style so that each student may continue to grow while having fun.

I've had the privilege of crossing paths with Lulu V. 20 years ago. It started off with a singing lesson. I've learned that she has an exceptional work ethic and passion for the life that music provides. She taught me that Music is the Master (and don't you forget that!) for music has no tolerance for arrogance.
There also is not just ONE category where you can place her, 'cause she is a teacher for piano, a vocal coach, an arranger for symphony orchestras, Musical Director for any event and has a Very soft spot for working with Big Bands.
I recently moved to Canada, and sadly our lesson had to end. But the knowledge she shared will remain. Thanks Lulu.

Have you ever heard folks expressing regret that they never continued their music lessons? Few students aspire to become concert pianists and unfortunately gave up as they never learned how to develop their skills to interpret modern music. Classical Music gives you the best technique but so many want to bridge their studies & be able to play current (pop) music & develop how to read band scores; plus develop playing by ear & improvising skills. Lulu excels in developing you as a Classical pianist or/and helping you transition as a modern pianist.

Lulu is one of the nicest and talented teachers I can recommend. She is not only an accredited teacher but has the experience of working as a professional pianist, arranger & orchestrator in the South African Music Industry. As a professional pianist I'm often asked if I teach. I have worked in the music industry & the past 20 years I've worked in the US as a music director in churches. I am constantly approached by folks wanting to become more proficient players & singers. In South Africa I would always refer them to Lulu. She worked with so many singers preparing them for cabaret, corporate launches & worked with numerous choirs. Personally I would always choose someone that has vast experience in the music industry as the person to develop my talents.

I am so happy to now recommend Lulu to the Los Angeles area. I have friends that tour with very well artists or work professionally in Broadway shows but find their fees for private instruction quite absorbitant. With Lulu you're getting years of experience at a very affordable rate.

When choosing a dentist I've found that asking friends in the medical industry would give me the best possible person. Likewise as a seasoned professional musician, I highly recommend choosing Lulu - you will never regret your decision!
