I've been teaching The Mandolin for 17 Years, and have been playing the Mandolin for 24 years. After teaching 1000's of students, you realize that no student is ever the same. Everyone learns differently. Each student is inspired in a different way. Everyone has different strengths and weaknesses in a multitude of different area's. So weather you starting from scratch, perfecting a solo for new album, learn by ear, or only read music, I can tailor my teaching style and curriculum to you. :)

I have been playing guitar for 30 years and teaching guitar and bass on and off since 2001. I owned a music school/store/studio in NY for several years but now live in MN. I work well with kids and enjoy watching them grow as musicians and people. I also like to do "Family/Band" lessons--where we get each member on an instrument (guitar, bass, piano, drums, etc.) and the family/group learns to play songs together--or jam, or write and record their own songs! Since there isn't really a platform for it through this website, my price listed for a "90-minute" lesson is not actually 90 minutes, but rather a 45-minute lesson for a group of up to four people. I primarily offer lessons in my home studio but will consider coming to you if its preferred. I also teach beginner level ...
I have been teaching mandolin since 2004. I focus on proper technique, while also developing ear training and improvisation skills.I basically want to make sure the student has fun and enjoys the experience of learning and playing, while developing their skills on mandolin.

I have been a bleeding heart singer/songwriter ever since I was a teenager. My main genre being folk/rock, I started playing guitar at the age of 12 and was singing, playing and writing by the time I was 15. Having been through many music classes myself (mainly in college as a temporary music major at the University of Montana), my collection of knowledge with basic theory and composition combined with my extensive experience with mainstream rock songwriting and performance provides the perfect tools necessary for a beginning or intermediate, aspiring music performer. I used to give private lessons in my later teens/ early twenties so I know how to make the experience fun and easy. and am finishing up a BA English degree at Metro State University.
