Terrific Teacher

He is a stupendous teacher. He makes his students feel comfortable, which is essential for optimal performance, without being excessively lax. The diaphragmatic breathing technique he began our first lesson with has proven to be incredibly valuable in signing and in my life in general.

Has a gifted teaching ability

David has been an excellent teacher for my young children. He is patient, encouraging, and has a good teaching method. My children made good progress and although they were skeptical about taking lessons, once they had a lesson with David, they continued to come back and made very good progress.

David is an incredible teacher and mentor. I recommend him without any reservations.

David is not only gifted at building your talent and ability - he will help you build your confidence. I took weekly singing lessons with David, starting with no experience at all, and he took me to a place I never thought I could be. Lessons are relaxed, efficient, and directed at your own pace, and David has a way of making you very comfortable with his patient, kind demeanor. He is a diamond in the rough, and easily worth 2x the money.

About Jon

I have been playing guitar since the age of 9. I have studied Classical, and Jazz at CCM's Prep Dept. in middle school and throughout high school as well as rock, folk, country etc. with other local teachers. Amazing teacher!

Jon is a very good teacher. He takes the time to explain the concepts of the lesson for the week and then presents a good example of style and technique to help make me a better player.

Margaret O.

Cincinnati, OH

I have been teaching guitar for the last 7 years. Originally a classical trained pianist I became the leader of an ensemble which included several guitarists. If order to lead them I had to learn how they think. So I bought a guitar and started learning from them. My method of teaching combines my classical background from the piano with styles used in playing with the ensemble. Most guitarists don't read music but my students learn to read music from the very beginning. Music theory is one of my strengths and I pass that on to my students.

About Margaret

I have taught the piano along with guitar and voice for over 40 years, since I was 16 years old. I started lessons at 9 and continued lessons while I began teaching beginners at a music studio. Since then I have had many different experiences with all kinds of students. I love sharing the gift of music with my students. My goal is to give them a wonderful musical experience and allow them to expand their knowledge of music in a structured manner and can grow to become a casual or professional musician. *** Lesson Details *** I adjust my teaching style to the students goals. I like to say I am laid back but do expect progress each week. I can teach the piano for beginner to advanced students. Some students are college bound and need to learn the disciplines of music. Other students ...

Best Teacher I Had

I had a few teachers growing up and she was by far the best and I learned the most from her. As well as teaching the fundamentals and essentials to learning, she also allowed for a lot of flexibility and creativity to learn different styles of music. Also as I got older we could just discuss a lot of subjects on music and was genuinely fun. Had a huge impact in my playing and then also future teaching of piano.

Aaron L.

Kings Mills, OH

My lessons will consist mostly of instruction in forming chords and playing basic scales. Students will learn to form all chords in open positions first and later how to form them in a barred position. Students will be able to choose from a variety of simple songs to learn. When practiced often, these should help form a solid foundation for further exploration. Students will also become familiar with guitar tablature, chord charts, and basic language associated with guitar-playing.

About Aaron

Hey! My name's Aaron and I love to play the guitar. I'm totally passionate about the instrument but I also like to approach it from an analytic, theoretical point of view, thanks to some formal training in piano. I am (almost) completely self-taught since the age of 10 when my dad taught me my first few chords. It didn't take long for me to take off from there, teaching myself songs by alternative rock artists such as Green Day and Nirvana from tablature on the internet. Throughout the school day, thoughts of guitar and music would keep me occupied, then I'd go home and play for hours. Over the years, my musical taste broadened as well as my style of playing, which has come to include techniques of rock & roll, country, blues, and jazz. My favorite kind of guitar to play is ...
