I have been playing guitar and bass for 19 years. In that time I have written, recorded and produced 6 albums of original music and toured the west coast three times. In 2011, I began my formal music training at Shoreline Community College. I am well versed in the many genres of rock and roll as well as classical, jazz, country, and worship music. I have performed in jazz groups, worship teams, rock bands, solo classical guitar and played orchestra guitar in Shoreline Community College's production of the play "Working" by Stephen Schwartz. In addition to my varied performance experience I hav
e contributed original compositions to 4 student games produced at DigiPen Institute of Technology. I am a well rounded musician with a ton of relevant experience and I am looking for an opportunity to share that with others.

What an incredible resource and teacher. Matthew tailors the pace to your ability and proceeds from there. I thought I was ahead of the curve on SEO and Wordpress but I have learned so much more in my sessions with Matthew. Highly recommended. I'm signing up for more lessons right now. I look forward to making my site an authority on the web; and I'll do this with Matthew's help.

My daughter has been performing vocal lessons with Mathew over the last 7 months and I must say both my daughter and I have thoroughly enjoyed our time with Mathew learning the finer details of singing. Mathew has great knowledge in all areas of music and has helped my daughter grow as a singer. He is patient, detailed and connects well with my child. I would also add that he has also been more than flexable with rescheduing lessons when needed, which has made our experience even more rewarding. (: Kids and their sport!

Excellent in both instruments and voice
I took voice lessons from Michael C. and he was very easy to work with. He always provided excellent feedback and knew my strengths and weaknesses and where to focus. He provided each week a lesson with detailed tasks and wanted to keep me on track. He didn't waste any time and was prompt and professional in all dealings. I highly recommend him.

This Berklee grad knows his stuff!
I had already been playing guitar for about 10 years or so by the time I started taking lessons with Michael (so definitely not a beginner), and although my playing techniques were already pretty decent, I knew my knowledge of music theory paled in comparison and needed some work. Michael was able to easily assess where I was at and start me on a path of further music enlightenment. Before the end of my first lesson, it became clear just how much I had to learn and that Michael's musical prowess went beyond what he was teaching me.
Rather than just giving me pre-made handouts, Michael would have blank manuscript paper with which he would walk me through the theory as he was writing it out. This was extremely helpful in understanding the lesson. Michael can be flexible with his lesson plans, so if there's something specific you want to get into, he will teach if he feels you're ready.
Michaelâs extensive knowledge of music theory was a big help in developing me more as a songwriter and composer. Even if youâre already an advanced player, I would definitely recommend this teacher if you are looking to broaden your musical literacy.

"Awesome recording session!
I had such a pleasure working with Cody. He is so creative and wants the absolute best for his clients/students. I am a singer
who sings a lot of Broadway and classical repertoire, and wanted to record a track that was more on the side of pop. I was nervous at first, but in just a couple of takes, Cody helped me find my pop voice and really made me feel at ease singing my vocals. He had me do a couple of cool tricks to really connect with what I was singing about and after that, everything clicked and I was letting myself be free with my new sound and Cody was so supportive and gave wonderful feedback. He's a great coach as well! I loved every idea he had. I had so much fun in the studio and highly recommend working with him...I know I will again in the future."

"READ THE BREAKDOWN.
Cody is a great producer and a great guy - both are equally important in creating the best recording experience. Some of his attri
butes are best expanded upon with bullet-points.
HUMBLE. This is hugely important. There is not a pretentious bone in his body. Cody is great at what he does but is not afraid to ask for help from people who might know more about whatever aspect of the music creation process specific to the artist. There is no “I’m the producer and I know more than you” attitude. Instead, his attitude is very much of equality where both parties understand the strengths that they bring to the table.
PATIENT. Sometimes I have a lot of ideas - or none at all. Cody would bear with my A.D.D. moments in the studio when dealing with ideas that I sometimes couldn't communicate. Instead of writing my ideas off, he instead worked with me until we achieved exactly what I was trying to get at.
RESPECTFUL. Being an artist himself, Cody has immense respect for the artist and their creations.
UNDERSTANDING. Cody’s understanding of all kinds of music lends to his fearlessness of exploring new genres - but it doesn't stop at exploring - he captures their essence. I've heard tracks he’s done that are R&B, indie-rock, country, EDM, etc. and its hard to imagine they were all from the same brain. If you wanted a Bollywood track, I’m sure he could give you one.
RESOURCEFUL. Cody has ingenuity and is resourceful. He would never tell me what *works with my kind of music* or what kind of instrument I would *need for the song* - if we wanted a certain sound, we’d make it - out of wax paper and water bottles if necessary.
EFFICIENT. Mostly I sat in awe and watched Cody click and move stuff.
COMMITTED. Even when he didn't have to, Cody would work on my track in his free time meticulously making sure everything was how it should sound and also just to make sure there wasn't any territory we had overlooked.
And that's just naming a few.
All in all, Cody brings a child-like spirit of wonder to his sessions - where the song is not a job or a chore, but a new world waiting to be explored, full of possibilities waiting to be uncovered. And that excitedness and spirit of discovery is KEY to sustaining creativity in a studio environment. Not only does it make the whole process productive, it makes it FUN. Cody’s character bleeds into how he works and into what he creates and the final product reflects that."

"Jordan is one of the most dedicated musicians I know. He has taught me so much about different techniques for recording music and continually searches for
new knowledge on how to improve his craft. I would highly recommend learning from Jordan even if you have a background in music because he has brought a new level of professionalism to the way that I approach music theory and song writing. In addition to his skills, he's an all around nice guy and a good communicator!"

Being in a room with Renato is guaranteed learning and inspiration. His infinite passion for music is contagious, he makes sure you are learning but most importantly that you love what you're learning about.
I've had many music teachers before in my life but no one as complete as Renato. He comes from a performance background and started producing music at an early age. He knows about arrangement, music history, composing, recording, mixing and mastering, HE IS JUST THE TEACHER YOU WANT TO HAVE!"

"I have worked with Renato on and off for three years and I can highly recommend him as both a teacher and producer. Renato's knowledge of music and music
technology is vast and he is able to tailor his lessons to exactly what the student desires to learn. As a teacher myself, I recognize when I come away from a lesson feeling more empowered and confident and all of my sessions with Renato inspire me to go home and get to work on my own recording projects. Thank you!"
