As an adult with no singing experience ever, I was quite nervous to try my first singing lesson. Naara put me right at ease from the very beginning and made me excited to come back. Her advice is spot on and delivered in a very supportive way. I learned a lot and gained so much confidence with my singing in very little time. I would highly recommend Naara for voice lessons.

Very Attentive and not afraid to give honest opinion!

Naara was very attentive in listening to my needs. She pointed out my strengths and weaknesses. After failing to get an interview with my church worship director to be a worship team member, Naara reestablished my confidence in my abilities. She is helping me with breathing exercises that will help me achieve my goal of singing the National Anthem at a sporting event. Within the next week I will be in a studio to make a CD of singing the National Anthem for audition with the Seattle Mariners. Thanks Naara!

Beginners-
It's time to find and strengthen the essential source of a strong voice, the diaphragm. We will accomplish this with a series of breathing exercises, stretches and stances that will contact the proper muscles and regions of the body required to produce a strong, controlled and healthy singing voice.
Then we will find your range; the span of notes in which you are most comfortable singing. Once established, we will strengthen and expand your range.

Intermediate-
If this is your category, you've sang in bands, choirs, open mics, you probably play an instrument(s) and you've maybe already taken a lesson or two.
First, we'll take a look at your strengths and weaknesses to weed out any bad habits. Then we'll talk about the style(s) you wish to sing; songs, artists, your own personal twist and build up from there.

Advanced-
You've taken lessons, you perform live, you've been singing for a long time and you need professional assistance to achieve your next goal as a ...

I'm brand new to guitar, and Evan was recommended by a friend. He came out to my house and gave me my very first lessons and they were great! I'm a slow learner, and he has been super supportive! I think I'm getting the hang of this...thanks Evan!!!

I'm an intermediate guitar player looking to move forward, and with Evan, even after just a handful of lessons, I made serious strides with my playing. A very talented guitar player, an acute listener, and a very patient teacher. I highly recommend him.

I have found /Evan to be very easy to relate to. He listens to what you have to say, and tailors his instruction to your level and your goals. He very obviously knows what he is doing and is able to relate that to his instruction.

Insightful, challenging, and enjoyable lessons!

Starting voice lessons was new territory for me; though I had been in choir, I hadn't had lessons that pushed me individually before. I was looking for detailed, content-rich instruction that challenged me, which I found in Dan's lessons!

Each lesson, though only a half-hour long in my case, includes new concepts that can be immediately applied for better singing! His approach is multidimensional, addressing pitch, tone, quality, and breathing at an intensity that varies according to skill level. Dan has experience in numerous styles and is able to offer apt tutoring to all of them. He has a unique ability to break down and explain concepts in singing so that they are tangible and attainable.

We have worked on pop, jazz, and folk so far, and in each area, I learned a bajillion new things! Dan's enthusiasm and knowledge combined with his engaging teaching style will benefit anyone who wants to improve their voice. I absolutely recommend Dan as a voice teacher!
