I've been teaching trumpet for 5 years and I love it. I strive to make students as comfortable and prepared as they can possibly be on trumpet. I put a strong emphasis on the core fundamentals of trumpet playing so that you can learn it right the first time (and not have to change how you play like many of us have to do later on.) I like to incorporate sight reading to slowly make it easier, etudes, solos, and duets. This varies from student to student as no one learns the same way!
Hi! My name is Gabrielle and I've been playing trumpet for a little over 14 years. I've been studying music and theory for about 6 years, and piano just 4. I've had several years of jazz training, but I mostly play and teach classical music although I am able to teach any jazz lovers out there! I adore teaching and working with students. I've taught for Temple University Prep School, I've gone to several summer music festivals and I attended the Juilliard Pre-College and competed internationally and nationally in several divisions. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me!
When you take lessons from me you can expect to get a full understanding of how to make music using your whole body, through the trumpet. The trumpet is simply an extension of your body and not the main production of the full, rich sounds which you will be able to produce.
From the time I was a young child, when the high school band visited my elementary school, I have had a love for music...classical, jazz, inspirational, rock, etc. I've studied with such renown trumpet players as Tony Marchione, Dave Arndt, and Mike Natale, I developed my technique and abilities by discipline and making music fun. I participated in all band activities from elementary school through college and pursued a career in the United States Army military bands. After the military I continued playing in the semi-professional arena to include religious organizations, community theater and local military and non-military bands. I have over 30 years experience teaching children and adults the rudiments of trumpet as well as introducing my students to a plethora of musical genres. My
