A talented musician and teacher, who is genuinely responsive to his students' needs.

My son took piano lessons from Jon at a time when he wanted to experiment with different types of musical expression. Jon was extremely responsive to his needs, and worked with him on everything from improvisation, to jazz licks to a Brahms ballade. Jon understands that teaching music is not a "one-size-fits-all" endeavor, and draws on his wide range of musical experience to tailor a program that's right for your child. He is an extremely talented musician and a dedicated, caring teacher.

Jon is superb

My stepson took drum lessons with Jon for at least three years. I was impressed with my kid's progress on his drum set. Jon is so passionate about music, and I could see my son really connect to Jon easily. Jon was very available to discuss schedule changes and is a very nice down to earth guy. I highly recommend him.

Amazing teacher and all around phenomenal artist!

I took lessons from Jon for over 8 years, twice a week, including Jazz/Blues piano, voice, theory, and even drums. Let me first say that Jon is an all-around amazing artist that can master many instrument or genre of music. Taking lessons with him was something I looked forward to every week. He was an expert in all things jazz and blues, and really explained the theory and techniques well. I learned so much from him over those years that I can never repay. Unfortunately, he moved away to Cali, and I have not yet found a replacement that even comes close. I highly recommend Jon for music lessons in any instrument.

I'm a 55 yr old female that hasn't taken voice lessons in the last 20+ years. From that time until recently I would just do karaoke off and on. I started taking lessons with Tanisha about seven months ago. She is the absolute best thing that has ever happened to my voice. Initially I just wanted to learn how to use my "alto" voice more effectively. I avoided singing soprano songs because it was very uncomfortable and it didn't sound right to me. But to my surprise Tanisha convinced me that I am in deed a first soprano. She started working with me on my singing with much attention on my upper range. Thanks to Tanisha, for the first time in my life I have started feeling like a real singer! She has truly taken me places vocally that I could have only dreamed of going. Even when I sing lower it sounds tons better. I practice consistently because I'm so excited about all of the progress I have made in just a seven month period. And I am just blown away that I have those high notes now! When it comes to the voice Tanisha is definitely a miracle worker! On top of that she has this bubbly personality and from the day that I met her I felt like I've been knowing her for years. She's like a new best friend!

For the past 6 months I have taken voice lessons with Tanisha. She has a very warm personality that makes you feel instantly comfortable and at ease. She is passionate about teaching and also tailors the lessons to who you are as an individual so that she can help to extract the very best out of you as a student. She is encouraging and never judgmental and meets you right where you are at. Most of all, she has abounding patience. I have seen an overall improvement in my vocal ability and can now sing in a range that I thought was impossible for me.

I have been using your advice every time I practice. Again, I am extremely grateful for the advice you have given me: I have improved more in these last few days than in the weeks of practicing before our lesson. I was looking for a male vocal coach who had experience, and that is exactly what I needed!

Thank you for your time,

Hey Seth, Thank you so much for the great work you did engineering the recordings for Martini & Olive. We shot the videos today and the tracks were perfect. Had a blast working with you and hope to create more music with you soon. And your Triumph was pretty terrific a well. Cheers

Had a great recording session with Seth this week. He gave us good direction and really finessed our vocals and timing on the final recordings. Thank you Seth!

Seth worked with us (Martini & Olive) engineering our Medleys — and he was patient inciteful and so helpful — massaging our intricate comedy melodies for our music video. We are a quirky fast funny funky lounge act and he understood our concerns musically and comically. We spent hours with him and he was a joy the entire time. Thanks Seth!

Seth is working with my 9 year old and my 6 year old and is just great. He’s the perfect blend of classical and cool, which goes over well with the kids, inspiring a love of music while really learning form and technique. He’s also giving me refresher lessons so it’s good to see him work with all three levels at one time. We highly recommend Seth!
Paul T. Inglewood, CA

As a musician in today's technologically savvy world it is fundamental to have some skills in the studio. Learn to find your way around some very common Digital Audio Workstations (DAW's) like, Cubase, Logic, ProTools, Ableton Live, and Garage Band. After over a decade of working with bands on the road and in the studio I know some fun and easy ways to make the most out of a select few pieces of gear. Record yourself for the purposes of improvement which any musician should do often. Also, if you are an artist/ songwriter it is indispensable for promotion and marketing of yourself and music.

About Paul

I am a firm believer in the power of music to heal, entertain, and teach. It is our first and most vital universal human language and as such, I believe we all have the ability to learn how to communicate beautifully with music to express our deepest feelings. As a teacher it is my privilege and pleasure to help you develop. From classical violin to jazz piano my early musical education not only spanned genres and instruments but also geographically from Austin Texas to Madison Wisconsin and finally brought me to Los Angeles where I currently reside and work teaching and playing in several bands. I embrace this diversity as I embrace my own mixed Peruvian and American cultural heritage. Helping you or your child reach your musical dreams in a friendly-nurturing environment ...

About Joseph

Joseph R. has 5 years of experience teaching students elementary, middle school-aged children and adults on to how to play keyboard, guitar, flute and saxophone while sharing his learning experience with them as a self-taught saxophone and flute player and his more conventional education on piano and guitar. Joe started developing his musical talent through piano lessons at the age of 7. After only a year of formal study, he began to experiment with other instruments such as the bamboo flute, the guitar and the drums. When he moved to the United States at the age of 13, he was introduced to the school’s band where he chose to hone his skills with the flute. Since then, he has been exposed to classical and symphonic repertoire. During high school, he joined the marching band and at ...

Mauricio is a very patient guitar instructor. The instruction my daughter received was her first experience playing any instrument. Her enthusiasm for each lesson was a reflection of Mauricio's enthusiasm to teach. Music is his passion and it was clear to me that his enthusiasm for music was evident in his instruction.
