I teach beginning piano and General Music using the keyboard. I also teach using the keyboard for song accompaniment.
Students will utilizing standard music notation while learning familiar songs, proper technique, and music theory. Students are required to have their own keyboard/piano at home (touch sensitivity preferred), lesson book (Alfred's Adult All-In-One Piano), and all other necessary supplies. Students are also recommended to purchase Hanon's The Virtuoso Pianist for independent practice.
Whether young or old, I can assure you that piano lessons with me are a fun and engaging experience! I fell in love with the piano at a very young age, began lessons at age eight and have been playing ever since. I excel at making piano lessons easy and accessible for my beginning students. Together, we will work not only on playing and technique, but also music theory and sight reading. Because of this broad education and musical foundation, my students can feel confident that they have the skills to take their musical journey in any direction they please!
