I teach beginner and intermediate piano techniques. You will learn chords and scales as well as different play styles. Also, you will be able to read music well enough to play and go through any piece of music.
Learn to read, write and perform on the piano. Play simplified versions of your favorite songs while making your way through Alfred's basic piano library. Using software, I create recordings of my students exercises; students experience an enjoyable way to practice and develop their skills playing along with recordings. These recordings are made and adjusted specifically for each learner. The software allows me to tailor a practice session specifically for each student.
Students will learn the basics of piano, including technique and reading and understanding sheet music.
I structure my lessons to best fit what the individual is looking for. If the student would like to learn chords to play pop songs, we can focus on that. However, I usually try to incorporate a little of everything. Lessons will include scales, technique-building exercises, sight-reading, theory, and pieces for performance. I encourage my students to work hard and improve without overwhelming them.
Students can expect to learn to read music while taking lessons with me. I also focus on proper technique and theory. However, it is also important to me that each student learns to play with musicality and expression.
