I am a professional vocalist with a broad range of experience. With a Bachelor of Music (Musical Theater) from Belmont University I am more than qualified to teach with a well supported vocal foundation. As a true lover of music and arts, I encourage my students to sing as much as possible! My confident and exciting approach to singing brings out the best in my students, which translates beautifully to real life situations. *** Lesson Details *** Each person is different in nature and each performer has a personal style and goal. I have been taking the world by surprise since the age of 4. I began studying at Queens College at 6 years old and was a recital pianist by the age of 12. I was a consumer of music, from the Music Theory lessons on Saturdays, piano lessons on Thursdays and voice lessons on Saturday afternoons, my life was filled with music. It is to no one's surprise that I completed my first demo at the age of 13 and was performing for Queens Colleges audiences at 14. I went on the rank high in the NYSSMA series in both piano and voice. I also went on to study music in college and began touring with gospel troupes nationally. Since then I has done many workshops, Master Classes, tour dates, theatre shows etc. Too many to date. I am a sought after teacher for voice, piano and broadway singing. I train
I have been teaching classical voice technique for about 7 years. I have performed in numerous operas in French, German, English, and Italian. A solid foundation in vocal technique is essential if a student wants to sing opera, and that is what I teach.
I am a classical singer and pianist from Wisconsin! I started playing music at the age of three on the piano and began voice lessons at 15. While in graduate school in Las Vegas, I started teaching both voice and piano lessons and found how much I loved imparting my knowledge to others and watching them make progress. I have performed leading roles in Operas and soloed in orchestral concerts and recitals. I mainly perform opera/classical but love musical theatre as well. My performing experience has taught me a lot which I am eager to pass on to my students! I have been teaching with Takelessons since my move to NYC in 2011. *** Lesson Details *** As a teacher, I try to create a lesson environment that is relaxed and open but still efficient. I have specific requests for you
I love teaching! As a lyric mezzo soprano and I have over fifteen years of experience teaching students of all ages. I especially enjoy working with students who are excited to learn about music and singing. The thing I enjoy most about teaching is helping my students take risks and watching them grow as performers. I'm a hands on teacher and I encourage an open dialogue in lessons. Recent performances include performances at Carnegie Hall, with the San Francisco Orchestra and Vienna Philharmonic, the Metropolitan Opera, Santa Fe Opera, and Central City Opera

I've been teaching in NYC for four years and am also a professional, working soprano in New York. I work with students of all voice types and levels.
The classical technique I teach incorporates consistent breath management and consistent, pure vowels. The combination and synchronization of these allow the singer to access all the resonance necessary for classical singing in a healthy, stress-free way. I also work with students on diction in the operatic languages (French, Italian, German and English) as well as help them understand stylistic differences across the history of classical music.
I teach classical/operatic singing to singers as young as 15, and you're never too old to start singing classically! Try something new with your voice, prepare your audition for that musical or for your college auditions. We will work together to create a free sound that is individual to you in a fun environment.
Can't wait to meet you!
