Hsin-Jung T.

Houston, TX

I don't accept schedule-as-you-go students.

Studio Policy:

Regular practice: Students are required to practice 5 days a week. The more you practice, the better prepared you are for the lesson. The length of each daily practice session depends on the age or level of the student. Minimum daily practice requirements by age are:

Ages 4 ~ 10/ beginners: 30 minutes
Ages 10 ~ 14/ intermediate: 45 minutes
Ages 14 ~ 18/ advanced: 60 minutes and more

Regular attendance to lessons: I want you to have correct music reading, playing, and good posture, and these cannot be achieved without regular guidance by the teacher. Regular attendance to lessons also insures that no change of schedule will be made to yours because of someone else’s lesson cancellation.

I started classes March 2015 and can honestly say Bo is an excellent instructor. He is very patient especially with someone who had no experience. He has a diverse range of taste in music so if you don't want to pay classical he can teach you the blues, jazz, rock, etc. I would definitely recommend this instructor for anyone from no experience to experience.

Mr. Bo was incredible. Hes patient, kind, funny, and teaches in a way you can really grab onto. He has really inspired me to be better at the piano than i would be able to be. (Im startling later in life at 33)

My lesson was only an hour but he stuck around much longer just talking, sharing music stories, and laughing with my family. He left my house leaving me inspired and motivated.

I cant imagine a better person to teach you or your child the piano.

Rebecca L.

Houston, TX

Rather than music being just a definition term, music has a broader meaning that many people don't realize. I believe music itself is not the only thing people can learn from lessons alone, but the ability to concentrate, develop characteristics such as patience, and dedication. That being, music teaches very important life skills to carry. Being in the music industry, I've aspired that teaching is not always expecting perfect results in terms of performance, but the perfectionist results of having integrity, in addition to having a genuine passion for music itself.

About Rebecca

Hi! My name is Rebecca and I can't wait to meet you! I started learning the piano when I was 5, violin and viola when I was 7, and have taught all these instruments since I was in middle school (over 10 years!). I love helping my students achieve their goals and fulfill their passion.
.
I received my bachelor's degree in music performance at Rice University, and I am currently back at Rice for master's degree.

I grew up in Taiwan, and I am fluent in Mandarin Chinese. I would love to help anyone learning a second language and tell you more about the culture!

I look forward to helping
you reach your goals!
