Great teacher

My daughter has been taking flute lessons from Shannon for 2-3 years. She really enjoys her time with Shannon and has learned so much! Shannon does a wonderful job of creating chamber music groups with recitals, in which my daughter was able to take part - definitely nothing that would have been offered in her school at this level! We are very lucky to have found Shannon!

League City, TX

Learning piano is a great way to add music to your life. Whether you are looking for a teacher for your child, or you yourself want to learn, we can set you on the road to a musically fulfilling life.

Studies have shown that learning an instrument improves brain function and other life skills, from the abstract, like dedication and perseverance, to the more straightforward, like pattern recognition, math, and motor skills. I've seen my students of all ages develop these skills in their studies. It's amazing watching it happen, too!

I strive to keep music lessons fun. Music is a wonderful thing, and especially in my young students, I want to keep that innate love of music alive in them. I always want my littlest students to look forward to their lessons, and enjoying exploring the world of music with me. As their fluency grows, we gradually adapt the structure of the lesson, always keeping in mind their attention span.

In our piano lessons, you will not only learn what key to

Most importantly, I am one of the last proteges of the late great world renown vocal coach, Judy Davis. These lessons really work! I will teach you what she taught me and many legends of our time, such as Barbara Streisand, Frank Sinatra and Tony Bennett. These lessons are not your average singing lessons and I am not your average singing teacher. I paid a fortune for these lessons and now I want to share her work with you. But wait, there's ...

Great Teacher!

Last year I started acting and singing lessons with Julie. She is wonderful. Very professional, and definitely knows what she's doing. She's very patient, and helped me with different vocal/acting exercises and gave me a lot of information I would need for acting and singing. Unfortunately, I had to stop taking lessons with her over the summer as I was unavailable to meet with her, but I am lucky enough to begin lessons with her again next week. I'm super excited to be seeing her again; Julie is an excellent teacher!

Talented Vocal Coach!

I've been taking lessons with Julie for a little more than 2 months now and I have seen major improvement in my voice. She teaches it in a way that helps me understand why we do the exercises that we do and answers any questions that I have. I was always kind of embarrassed to sing in front of people in the fear of not hitting some notes, but Julie is easy to be around and provides a comfortable environment for lessons. She is very patient and wants to see you reach your goals for whatever you wish to pursue with your voice.

awesome voice coach!

Julie really helped my daughter improve her vocal range by several notes in both directions and also assisted in preparing her for her performance. She is really flexible with the student's needs and personality and my daughter loves working with her. She goes beyond just being a teacher, she is very supportive and we love her for that too.

Piano lessons consist of four main parts:
1. Technique - This includes scales, chords, arpeggios, and other fingering exercises to properly warm up the hands and improve muscle memory and help students recognize common patterns in music.
2. Repertoire - Students will play the pieces they have been practicing. This may include memorizing pieces and performing them in recitals.
3. Lesson - Students will learn new material and may receive a new piece to practice.
4. Music Theory - All piano students are required to learn music theory, which consists of one or more pages of homework to reinforce what the student has learned.

Fabulous

Elisabeth has just the right balance in what I hoped for in a teacher. She challenges me just enough for me to feel frustrated but like I'm growing, and she affirms my work just enough for me to feel good about myself and confident. She also has a great balance between a friendly energy and getting down to work.

I started classes March 2015 and can honestly say Bo is an excellent instructor. He is very patient especially with someone who had no experience. He has a diverse range of taste in music so if you don't want to pay classical he can teach you the blues, jazz, rock, etc. I would definitely recommend this instructor for anyone from no experience to experience.

Mr. Bo was incredible. Hes patient, kind, funny, and teaches in a way you can really grab onto. He has really inspired me to be better at the piano than i would be able to be. (Im startling later in life at 33)

My lesson was only an hour but he stuck around much longer just talking, sharing music stories, and laughing with my family. He left my house leaving me inspired and motivated.

I cant imagine a better person to teach you or your child the piano.
