Linda L.

Tucker, GA

About Linda

*** Travel Equipment ***
I do not typically provide any equipment - but I am willing to select and purchase books for the students to learn from (cost of books to be reimbursed by the student/parent) when requested to do so.

I am also willing to provide stick-on note-names for the keyboard, for young children.

The students must have their own instruments, music stand, paper and pencil, and provide a folder for sheet music and notes/instructions.

*** Specialties ***
On guitar, I specialize in the following styles: jazz, rock, blues, folk, bluegrass, and children's songs.
Piano: I pr
efer electronic keyboard to acoustic piano, but am happy to teach beginning students on a regular piano as well. I teach note-reading, playing by ear, and theory. When using an electronic keyboard, I include more rhythm development, arranging, chord theory, and use of the many features of an electronic keyboard, in the lessons.
English: I am qualified, by years of tutoring, to tutor/teach English (spoken, written, and reading comprehension) to both native English speakers and to those learning it as a second language.
*** I am particularly good at working with children who have a.d.h.d. and other learning disabilities!

Linda is easily the most patient and welcoming person I've ever worked with. She has incredible knowledge over a vast array of topics and she is eager to share with others. This, in my opinion, is the most important quality of all teachers. Her lessons have proved a great way to build a solid base in my field of interest. as well as providing me with a well rounded and wonderful mentor that I'm sure to rely on for many other lessons in the future- banjo or otherwise!

Superb teacher. The lessons are fun, interesting, and immensely productive. Each session is packed with conversation practice, notes and guidance on grammar and vocabulary, and explanations for idiomatic phrases, cultural practices, and nuances of the language. The entire lesson is documented in writing for easy reference and review. David is a gifted and energetic instructor.

Gabriel H.

Atlanta, GA

About Gabriel

Students, hi! My name is Gabriel H. and I can't wait to meet you. I've been teaching in private and public schools in Switzerland for the past 15 years and my wife and I have found ourselves settled in Atlanta. My students have ranged from ages 10 to 16 and seemed to have always enjoyed one on one work with me as their teacher. I have loved helping my students surprise themselves with what they're capable of. My hope is to grow my students and equip them with tools to help them enjoy learning and thrive in their strengths while not feeling overwhelmed by their shortcomings.

I went to Paeda
gogische Hochschule Kanton Thurgau (Teacher's College in the County of Thurgau, Switzerland) and earned a degree in education. I'm a patient and encouraging person and my teaching style is a little outside of the box. My hope is that we have fun without shying away from the hard work required. I also try my hardest to tailor each lesson to the personal needs of the student.

Nicole K.

Alpharetta, GA

About Nicole

Welcome to my profile.
I'm a young and dedicated German and Czech teacher from Vienna, Austria.
I grew up speaking both languages everyday since my mother is from Czech Republic and my father is Austrian.
I started giving lessons in 10th grade back in Austria and I really enjoyed it.
I like to teach kids, teenagers but also adults. I try to put my main focus on the fun part of learning a language, so I will always come up with a funny game how to improve and rectify your skills.
If you are interested I'm looking forward to hear from you soon!
Have an awesome day,
Nicole :)

Both,
German and Czech (as well as Slovak), are my native languages.
I finished my high school degree with (ALL) A-Grades and also learned Russian and Hungarian, so I can understand those languages too.

If you are a funny and ambitious person you should certainly contact me and I promise you we will have a lot of fun together.
