Born and raised in the suburbs of Chicago, at the age of 9, Natalie knew music was something that was just a part of who she was. Writing songs on the piano before lessons could be scheduled, Natalie
found herself immersed in a medium that would bring her joy for the rest of her life.

By age 14 Natalie had won several trophies competing in Classical piano with the Illinois Music Association.

As an adult, she would go on to fill her life with the world of music as a singer, songwriter, performer and recording artist.

Graduating from Elmhurst College (1997) with a Bachelor's in Music, Natalie received high accolades earning a membership in the Lambda Sigma Psi Music Honor Society.

During her college years, Natalie created and owned a local music publication called, "The Local Buzz". At this moment she had discovered her desire to teach. "I just wanted everyone I knew in music to know and use what I was learning, or had learned from the music classes, professionals I had been meeting and working with, and my overall music life experiences". By 1997, Natalie was signed to an independent label and embarked on a new adventure.

"Music is an adventure, but without the foundation and passion I had as a child, I would have never landed where I did. I truly LOVE to teach and share what I know about piano, and the world of music. Music is what I know, and know best. Helping to create a solid foundation and build confidence in someone embarking on a journey in music is the most rewarding profession I have ever had the honor of participating in."

PIANO TEACHER/TUTOR BIO:

I was born in Sao Paulo, Brazil and emigrated with my family to the United States, moving to Brooklyn in 1962 at the age of 9. I began my piano training in Brazil at the a
ge of 7 and continued my studies in New York. I speak three languages fluently - English, Portuguese and Spanish.

After graduating high school, at the age of 17, I attended Hunter College briefly while continuing with piano lessons and had operatic training with a voice coach associated with the New York Metropolitan Opera. At this time, I also became a member of the Harry Belafonte Group, touring the tri-state area schools as a singer in a musical history presentation highlighting African influence on Brazilian music.

While continuing piano lessons at the Long Island Conservatory of Music, I found my passion for teaching while still a student. During my early teaching career, I apprenticed with the conservatory's director, master teacher, composer and author of educational books, Sidney J. Lawrence. While shaping my philosophy of teaching, Mr. Lawrence became my mentor and friend. I taught 3-4 year olds in preschool music pedagogy classes while also teaching piano in a career that spans more than 30 years of working with children and adults at all levels.

I am able to adapt my teaching style to my students' unique way of thinking and communicate musical concepts in a way they can understand. I believe in not only teaching how to play the piano, but also the "language of music." This provides students with a holistic understanding that encompasses theory, technique, sight reading, basic composition, and performance, all while sharing my personal joy of music.

I now live in Clermont, FL after relocating from Georgia where I taught piano while also working as a substitute teacher for the Gwinnett County Public Schools and an academics tutor for K-12 levels.

I feel that my high expectations for students encourages them to reach for the best of themselves, achieve the highest standards and carry their musical training into their future lives.

Rosely is the most patient teacher I have ever had. She listens and takes into consideration what your goals are and helps you to accomplsh them. I waited a long time to find the right piano teacher and I knew instantly she was the one!

My children started lessons with Ms. Rosely when they were 5yrs. and 9yrs. old. They've been with her for almost a year and a half now, and love the piano! Her teaching style, relaxed but disciplined nature, and love of music, have been incredibly infectious. They look forward to each lesson, and love performing at the recitals she plans twice a year. We couldn't be prouder of their progress, and happier with their teacher and the experience she provides! Thank you Ms. Rosely!

ESL/ELL STUDENTS

Teaching non-English speaking students the basic AND advanced fundamentals of English. The seven parts of speech taught are nouns, pronouns, verbs, adjectives, adverbs, prepositions, conjunctions, and interjections.

Tom works at the elementary, secondary and post-secondary levels as an adult education instructor providing English instruction to classes or individual students.

As an ESL teacher, developing a curriculum he takes an overall approach to English study that focuses on a specific aspect of language use, such as life skills, literacy, or vocational and workplace English competencies. Both approaches involve teaching his students basic English skills, such as listening, reading, writing and speaking.

The Pedagogical Foundations Of EnglishCentral

Thanks to Tom, I passed my exams. Grammar was a big problem. Tom gave me tips and suggestions on using nouns, pronouns, and prepositions within a sentence. Meanwhile the lessons improved my confidence and ability in speaking.
