In addition to the student's specific requests– Lessons will include a general introduction to all styles of guitar and an emphasis on discovering the student's individual style.

About Matthew

*** Travel Equipment *** I bring my Acoustic guitar. The student must have an instrument of their own. *** Specialties ** I can take you to any level of guitar you wish. I've dedicated the last 20 years of my life to becoming the best musician I can be. I will share with you how to incorporate the guitar in to your everyday lives and make small amounts of practice, yield fast and rewarding results. I regularly use the Jazz Real Book, Mickey Baker books, and the Berkley Method books, as a starting place for adult students. I will often use the Suzuki method books, with children under the age of 10 . But ultimately whatever path you wish to take, I will be there to support you all along and offer constructive thoughts and opinions for growth and development. I love teaching ...

Yegues S.

Lake Worth, FL

This is my secondary instrument and I have take lessons with Dr. Leo Welsh at FSU. I am very proficient in ways to learn the fret board easy and increase technical ability very quickly.

About Yegues

I have taken flute lessons from the flute professor at FSU as well as guitar lessons from Dr. Leo Welch here at FSU. I have given multiple lessons and master classes on both flute and guitar. I have also been a music theory tutor for many students. I have a lot of experience with both giving and receiving lessons, so I have learned many ways to adapt to any situation. I love laughing and making jokes, which is one of the most important aspects of any teacher. Lessons should be something to look forward to rather than dreading to spend time practicing. I do prefer being more laid back as a teacher, but still know when it's time to get more serious about the work. *** Lesson Details *** I am laid back most of the time time, but I still expect whatever we assigned to be practiced for ...

As always Yegues is a very patient teacher. When I feel overwhelmed he is able to assure me I am making progress and let me know what I am doing is is difficult only because I don't know it and that after awhile it will all come together. Thanks Yeagues

Yegues is a phenomenal multi-instrumental teacher, specializing in adaptive teaching styles. Yegues had the ability to adapt our lesson to any method that would further my individual learning goals. He and I met for several months during which time I received real results and nothing but high praise for my teacher.

Melody H.

West Palm Beach, FL

I like to use Fast Track by Hal Leonard Book 1 it is an easy book to learn from. You learn your notes on all 6. Why because it is important to read music just as it is to play the guitar. Learn your favorite songs. Learn strumming patterns. Strumming is hard so it takes a bit. And yes your FINGERS will be sore for a while but you will survive!!!!

About Melody

I started music at age 5. My parents were both professional musicians. My father was a professional jazz piano player and my mother a classical guitarist. So it is in the blood. I played a few instruments but my favorite guitar and piano. The bass is cool too. I went to Nassau Community College for Drama/Music I toured in theater groups and also was in a few bands while living in NY. I could not make up my mind so I did both. I love both ! I left NY to come down to So. Florida in 1991 due to my father's passing. Since I was new to the area I starting performing regular basis and became well known in the music community.I also went on a song writing spree which was good! I was able to do dinner theater in between the music. I met these two guys now my friends and music teachers from going

I have been teaching guitar for 6 years. I have an earned Masters degree in music and enjoy teaching students of all ages. I am happily married with 5 children at home--4 of them are musicians as well (the youngest is 4)..
