I teach absolute beginners, children, and pre-professional dancers. I welcome students who have never stepped foot into a dance studio before and just want to have fun. I assure you, if I can have my rowdy three year old students leaping across the floor with grace I can teach you how to move!
Hello Students! My name is Michelle and I have been dancing since I was seven years old! I was one of two graduates to earn my Bachelor of Fine Art in Dance/Dance Pedagogy from Columbia College Chicago in 2011. I have since moved back to New York City where I dance for a professional modern dance company in downtown Manhattan. When I am not teaching class, I am busy being a student of my own all over New York City at prestigious studios such as Steps on Broadway, Gibney Dance Center and Broadway Dance Center. It is here where I take daily classes with the country's greatest dance teachers/choreographers to continue my never ending training in dance techniques and developments. As a working professional dancer, I understand the rigor that it takes to achieve your goals and I work ...

Hi, and welcome to my profile! I am a Manhattan based, freelance classical violinist and aerialist with a passion for teaching. A west coast transplant, I received my bachelor's degree in Violin Performance from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, where I was a student of Axel Strauss. Two years ago I moved out to New York to pursue my master's of music as a student of Hiroko Yajima at Mannes College, which I completed in 2011. I have over 20 years of ballet and dance training, and have performed professionally with Ballet Idaho and Santa Clara Ballet. Here in NY, I am an active performer and teacher of aerial skills and flexibility training. I have trained in contortion with Jonathan Nosan and Isaac Pena. In my spare time, I like to read, write, and practice aerial arts!
I have 10+ years of extensive ballet training that I am able to apply in teaching the technique to others.
