A proud alumni of Miami's public arts programs, including those of Southwood Middle School, Coral Reef Senior High and the Greater Miami Youth Symphony, Alicia encourages all of her school-age students to explore their options of participating in the various youth arts organizations in the community. I've been dancing since my 9th grade year of high-school. I got into the dance magnet that opened up at my high-school, mainly for the girls, and found that I had this burning passion for dancing. I loved it. For the remainder of my high-school dance career I was nurtured by Erika Diaz. She birthed and raised somewhat of an amazing dancer. Words I'd never use to describe myself, but a compliment I seem to get often. Who knows. I just dance. I was trained in various styles of dance technique, including but not limited to, ballet, contemporary and jazz. I've taken tap, and its absolutely dreadful. I don't get it ha-ha. I've take countless technique classes, am familiar with barre work, across the floor, adagio, allegro, most of those types of things but all in all I prefer hip-hop,
